AWESOME!! INCREDIBLE!! 2/26/2011

Our favorite Greek restaurant in the Seattle area and our favorite restaurant in Auburn!! Tony, the owner-waiter is wonderful and the food is fantastic! Prices are very reasonable. The houmus (sp??) is a must; the lamb is delicious, and the baklava is to die for. We keep wanting to try their Italian menu, but can't tear ourselves away from the Greek. One of these days..... more

Absolutely Fantastic! Best Restaurant in Auburn 8/12/2010

We love this place! Menu is simple, lovingly hand prepared, and delicious. It is in an old house and we suspected the owner's Mother was in the kitchen. We had 2 entree, 2 soup, an appetizer and a glass of wine for about 30.00. The service was professional and attentive. There was a child's birthday seated close to us (family members) and the children were very well mannered - what a relief! This place doesn't seem to get enough business because most of the locals can't appreciate it. Too bad. It is better than some of the food we've had in Seattle. Highly recommended. more

The worst Greek I have ever tasted. 3/26/2010

I have eaten Greek food from many, many (more than 30) Greek establishments and this is the only one that was bad enough for me to write a review. First of all, the food was simply seasoned with black pepper, or that was all I could taste. The kebabs were tiny and overdone, making everything tough. The humous had no flavor. The domathes were falling apart and had no flavor. The side dish of potatoes were half cooked, the desert was awful. The only good thing about this place was the Greek Coffee which was great. I would not want even someone who I hate to eat there. My stomach hurts from what I ate. Pros: Good Greek Coffee Cons: The food. more

So-So food 7/13/2008

We each had the $18.00 sampler: souvlaki (1 lamb for spouse, 1 beef for self)- they were dry, flavorless, and very small pieces of meat on very small skewers (5 inches); spanikopita (spinach triangles in filo), very dry, flavorless, and the spinach filling reminded me of canned spinach; dolmathe- dry, flavorless; baby carrots, not cooked- warm and crunchy; moussaka- the only item on the plate that had any flavor, though it was not great. The Greek red wine was good...reminder me of a Merlot. The salad that came with the meal was ho-hum. I wish I could say that we'll return, but I'm afraid we won't unless the owners start to take pride in the food they make. It could have been so much better...what a shame. Pros: Decent wine menu, including Greek wines Cons: Food is dry and flavorless more

Treasure in Auburn 6/3/2008

This Greek/Italian restaurant, set up in a lovely home with beautiful decor, has given me and my husband the most authentic Greek dining experience we've ever had. The service was expedient and extremely warm. The owner greeted us with a youthful bounce down the stairs; his manner was genuine and casual. The Dolmathes, a tasty appetizer with rice and chicken wrapped in grape leaves was the perfect palatal experience with contrasting textures. My husband ate his Kota Psiti voraciously, leaving nothing but bone of this Greek-style prepared chicken. I had the best gyro I've eaten in 10 years. My first cup of Greek coffee was like no other coffee I'd ever tasted. It was dark but had such beautiful rich flavor. Finding Kouros Kuisine in Auburn was one of the best discoveries while honeymooning in Seattle. It's a great intimate spot for romance and privacy (for now, until lots more discover how wonderful it is). Pros: Ambience, Service, Diverse Menu Cons: Location more

Excellent Hidden Greek Restaurant 6/3/2008

The service was quick, the food amazing, and the atmosphere wonderful. It may appear a little strange from the outside, but do not be deceived, this restaurant is certainly a wonderful find. \r \r The menu was also quite good, offering you a choice from Greek, Mediterranean, or Italian, as well as appetizers and a nice array of wines. The food was absolutely amazing, and the chicken I had was one of the best prepared and seasoned that I have ever tasted.\r \r Although the restaurant is a little out of the way, you will certainly not be disappointed if you choose to drive the extra length to reach it.\r \r Even if Greek is not that appealing or you're on the fence as I was before eating there, I wholeheartedly believe you will enjoy it. Pros: Food, service, and atmosphere Cons: Location - hidden and somewhat far from Seattle more
