Good food packed w/ tons of flavor. Pita was good, as was the Souvlaki platter. Salad was huge and fresh. Sauteed Calamari was flavorful but could have used more squid. Does the music need to be piped in w/ 10" home tower speakers? Kosta is also quite the character. Recommended to try. more

Kosta's has to be solidly on the TOP 10 OF THE WORST PLACES TO EAT. The place is a garbage pit. Dirty and smelly. The service does not exist. We ordered a calamari first along with our entre' orders. The calamari arrived, but nothing else for probably 30 minutes. The it was delivered one diner at a time - maybe 5-10 minutes between. I ordered an entre' plus a side of fries. The fries arrived but no entre'. I had to ask several times. It finally came with a salad that I asked not to have cucumbers in. I sent it back to change the salad. All of a sudden some MAD MAN IS YELLING ACROSS THE RESTURANT (obviously the owner) ordering us to leave immediately. We were so frightened that we did not move. We were concerned for our safety. As in many Greek resturants, plates are thrown on the floor. But all of a sudden it seemed like every plate in the place was being thrown on the floor. When we finally had the courage to leave, the floor was a sea of broken plates - with no one sweeping them up. God forbid a woman with open shoes walk across the floor. Needless to say, I have never experienced anything like this - and I have eaten in some pretty crazy places around the world. My advise, NEVER GO TO KOSTA'S - THE FOOD MAY BE GOOD, BUT YOUR SAFETY AND SANITY IS NOT WORTH THE RISK. more

All I can say is, if you have not been here then quit with the excuses and go! Food and service are great - this is definitely my FAVORITE Greek restaurant in south Florida. more

Tucked away in a quaint little strip mall this restaurant is truly a find. Real authentic Greek atmosphere with sky blue ceilings and smashing plates met with a constant chorus of "Opa's". The cuisine is exceptional ranging from traditional Gyro to Kostas amazing Lamb, Shrimp, Chicken or Beef creations. You will never leave hungry and you will plan your next visit before you leave. Bravo! more

My wife and I had been anticipating our visit to this restaurant for quite a while. Heard great things. We came on a Sunday evening and the place seemed about half full, but there were only two servers so I can't really make an accurate assessment on service. Weren't too impressed with the decor - kind of dingy. Here's our main problem - there were small flys all around us, swarming on our wine glasses and flying in our faces. When I mentioned the fly problem to the waiter and asked if we could move tables he muttered something like, "yeah, they're around," tossed some flatware on another table, asked if it was OK and kept walking. We moved and sure enough the flys followed the wine glasses. When he took the fly infested wine glasses from our table he joked, "you didn't see this," and again just walked away. We saw others swatting the flys as well. The food wasn't great - my wife's Moussaka was bland and my spinach pie was pretty tasty, but I'm no expert. The greek salad wasn't bad, but I've had better locally. Can't say we'll be too eager to return. more

Kostas restaurant is full of energy and life. The place is usually packed at dinner time but they will get you in and sitting down asap with a delicious hummus and pita platter (order it from the menu). They have delicious wine. All the food is amazing and the owner/chef Kosta is quite the personality! You will see him cooking as you walk in, he will greet you with a hello and probably an OPA! and then you can probably expect them to start throwing plates in celebration sometime during your visit. Try it out...PS the Spanakopita is one you have to try!! more

Kosta is the Soup Nazi of Greek eateries: the food is great the owner is abusive to the staff and actually screamed across the restaurant at us when we complained because it took 1.5 hours to get our food - but only part of it. it took another 15 minutes to get my kids" food. There are plenty of good Greek restaurants around that manage to supply good food and good service. more

Kosta's is the best Greek restaurant in all of South Florida! He uses the finest and freshest ingrediants and prepares them to perfection! His Tzaziki is second to none and you can't find better pita anywhere. everything on the menu is wonderful. Be prepared to wait if you go during "prime time" but it is worth the wait! more

GET IT TO GO. The place inside is a madhouse. The kitchen can't keep up with the orders and you get neglected at your table. I have never been disappointed with my to-go orders of calamari and their lemon wedge potatoes. The calamari is so fresh and includes the tentacles as well, (which are my favorite part and hard to find at local restaurants). The lemon potatoes are perfect; you can see and taste the olive oil and lemon, just the right amount of tang. more

The food at Kostas is all homemade and freshly prepared. Most portions are huge and easily shared by two people. Service is the one issue that the restaurant has. This is probably due to the fact that the owner does almost all of the cooking himself, so when it is busy, it can take a while to get your food. There also seems to be high turnover with his staff. i still highly recommend the restaurant, as the food is delicious and worth the wait. Just avoid peak dinner periods, and only go there if you have the time to wait and are not starving! more
