In all of my 60 years I have never had such a terrible experience with a doctor.\r He was rude, showed no compassion about my concerns, and kept interrupting whenever I tried to speak. I actually said to him at one point, ""Would you please allow me to complete a sentence?"" After I said this, he acted like an indignant teenager by focusing on his prescription pad, obviously demonstrating that he wasn't paying any attention to me.\r I have severe eczema and on occasion when it gets this bad I need to see a dermatologist. Every dermatologist I've seen over the years has given me an injection of cortisone - a medication to me that's like a miracle drug. He gave me some crummy ointment which is grossly inadequate considering that the eczema is over 50% of my body. He even said, ""If you want an injection of cortisone don't come to me!""\r I've written to my medical provider and told them of this behavior and lack of proper treatment and plan to follow-up and let as many people know about this jerk.\r I can't believe this guy is called a doctor!!!\r more

I've been seeing Dr. Kornberg now for a couple years for a skin condition. My biggest issue has been running out of refills and then instead of letting me know, I basically get left hanging on medication until I come in again. My problem with this office is: they never schedule future appointments when you leave so you get the element of surprise when the pharmacy suddenly tells you no more refills, the doctor's office will make ZERO effort to let you know you need to come in. Aside from lacking decent service and working with rude staff, the doctor himself isn't that bad but I really see no point in physically seeing him- he'll glance at my skin, ask me a question or two while he writes me another prescription- very unhelpful, believes in only 1-3 types of medications for my condition. Yes, you'll read some cheerleader reviews for this doctor but he is far from the best and there are several other options. If I can save someone else the same frustration I have had, then I have done my job. Getting left hanging between prescriptions is not cool at all and this office could care less for you. It's amazing how they make NO effort to prevent this! They will deny your refill but then not tell you!! How nice of them? Then you have to call and schedule an appointment only after it's too late..I would recommend seeing a doctor that perhaps has a more proactive approach in prevently lapses in medications. Showing up physically to see the doctor is pointless as he really doesn't seem to care and spends less than two minutes examining. I'm usually tolerant of mediocre service and won't take the time to review someone unless I really do have repeated poor experiences, like I have with this office. WHOW!!! I?ve been a patient of Dr. k?s for more then 6 years and I?m surprised to see these negative comments?Honestly everyone is entitled to their own opinion and not everyone jives well with every Doctor or office and that must be the reason for the negativity. \r \r I am pleased to have Dr. K as my dermatologist and to say their aren?t too many doctors out there like him anymore. I will say he is straight forward and to the point and I appreciate that from him, he diagnoses the problem and tells you how to treat it. NO fancy lotions or costly gimmicks. He is courteous, his knowledge and passion for his profession shines through. \r \r It is relatively easy to get an appointment with him. RosieH?s review explains it like it is ?quick simple and painless. In the 6+ years I?ve known him I?ve never been able to read a magazine in his waiting room because he calls me before I even get comfortable. I wish all my doctor appointments were like this. \r \r My only worry is where will I go when he retires (he is a older wiser dr);? And I?m sure a lot of his patients ask themselves this same question. \r \r So there is my review, wanted to let my voice be heard too, especially when the negative comments on here are so harsh. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kornberg. Experiencing skin issues all my life and seeing different Derms throughout San Diego I found Dr. Kornberg. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind and explained all treatment options. His staff was very kind, no long waiting periods for appointments, not even in the waiting room. I went in, filled out paperwork and boom, was seeing Dr. Kornberg within minutes. He answered all my questions and I left feeling grateful for having found Dr. Kornberg. Quick, simple and painless. No regrets here, just thankful that doctors like Dr. Kornberg still exist. Pros: Parking, Staff, service ,waiting room time Dr's manner, all exceed expectations!!!!!! Cons: none exist..... more

Wher do I begin?\r Dr.Kornberg is nothing short of a miracle worker. His expertise and time spent with me was well worth the visit.\r His office staff is very kind/friendly and were very knowledgeable about how my insurance benefits work.\r \r I highly recommend Dr Kornberg to anyone in need of a good Dermatologist.\r \r more

I found Dr. Kronberg to be the most dangerous type of practioner possible. Before I finished explaining my clinical history he was writing an Rx. Skipping history,fundemental physical exam and any type of diagnostic test he miraculously came up with a treatment plan ( flawed as it was). As a medical professional myself I was able to protect myself and bring this most basic issue to his attention. In turn he became rather irrate and arguementative to say the least. It became clear that protecting his ego took precedence over quality patient care.I count myself lucky that I possed the ability to see his grave error and move on. I do however fear for others who may suffer harm from his shotgun ""medicine"". more

I found the staff to be unsupportive and had issues with billing. I dealt with two of the females in the front window who tended to be rude at times. I elected to end my visits to Dr. Kornberg's office due to the fact that there are several other derms in the area with quality care. more

I would not recommend this office by any means. I recently started a treatment for a skin disease at his office. I had to clear up a few insurance matters and trying to talk with the women in the front office is a complete joke. They are very inconsiderate and quick to get you off of the phone. I asked if there was any alternative to the treatment I was receiving (which I know there is, and it is a lot cheaper) and I could hear him in the background saying, ""ahh, no"". He didn't even have the courtesy of getting on the phone to talk with me and instead, he just relayed his ""yes""/ ""no"" questions through the morons in the front office. Also, everytime I went into the office for treatment (2-3 times a week), he had so many people in the waiting room that I felt he was just puttin people through his ""assembly line"" medical practice. There are many others in the area that are a lot more receptive to the patient's needs. more
