Korean Cuisine & Sushi Bar

FAMILIES BEWARE! Absolutely not kid friendly. Went here with my mom and sister and my 4 and 1 year old and my sisters 2 year old and 1 month old. We ordered 3 meals and sushi and right after our food was set down were told that they were closing (2pm). We were told we did not have to leave but that if we were going to order anything else we needed to do that now, which was fine. We didn't notice an issue until we got our bill with our food and told that gratuity was added because it is a requirement for a table of 6 or more. So not serving our children AT ALL made our table considered for added gratuity and the best part the SCAM ARTISTS added on 20% GRATUITY for our $50 bill. Why I even bothered to pick up after my children is beyond me. And the biggest kicker is the lady who owns it i assume and the older one which would be my guess her mother were caught saying "how rude" about us as my mother walked out of the bathroom. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND GOING HERE EVER!!!!! they will scam yo more

It's not authentic Korea food and very pricy. It took forever to get your food. And if you get the server of the owner's daughter, bad luck. She hardly ever smiles to you. I ordered something for taking out. I did not know the restaurant will be closed at 2:00pm. I went there around 2:20pm to pick up the food. The restaurant was closed. I called, no one answered. I went back to have dinner next week. The owner's daughter told me that we can never take out any food from Koreana again. And she told me that I lied because I never called them even though I showed them my cell phone record. I cannot believe this is how they treat their customers. And we have been there for more than 3 years. I went back later to talk to the other daughter about his sister's wrong attitude to a loyal customer. She told me that you do not need to come back any more. That's the answer that I got. Do you think you want to ever give the money to a restaurant who treats a loyal customer like this !?!?!?!? I have never had poor service at Koreana, don't read those other reviews. They may be trying to 'beat the competition'. We usually either eat in or take out 1x/month. I wish they were listed under 'Sushi' because they have the best sushi in Appleton. They use nice fresh chunks of tuna, rather than that mayonnaise paste with tuna like other sushi restaurants in the immediate area. Their Korean items on the menu are good, I've tried several, but I keep coming back for the sushi. more

I've always had good food and good service at Koreana. They have a fresh sushi bar where you can watch them make sushi in front of you. The rolls are fresh, and they have a good offering on their regular menu. more

Koreana's has to have the best sushi in town. If you go, you must try the Jumbo Philly roll, which is lightly seared. I have one every time I go. Prices are slightly expensive, but reasonable for sushi. more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! The owners, korean sisters, are the most rudest, unfriendliest, people ever! Please don't suffer a bad experience dining here. The food is not even worth the price..sushi rolls are so small! food is overpriced. We are asians and they still treat us like outsiders- they are just very unappreciative. If you want sushi, I would definitely recommend Nakashima. Please don't waste your money for horrible service! more

I would highly suggest not wasting your time and money at this restaurant! They have rude, unfriendly, horrible sevice. The owners treat EVERYONE like they're outsiders...they are very unappreciative of service. They are rude and constantly have an attitude. The food is not even that good- it's overpriced, very small portions, many people think its good because they don't know what "good" is! if you want sushi..i would recommend Nakashima. definitely a better service and food! This is one of the few resturants in Appleton that make sushi in front of you. Generous in their portions and tastey. They also serve both hot and mildly spiced Korean dishes. PROS: Sushi CONS: none more

Koreana recently expanded their restaurant -- and with good reason: the desire for Asian food has grown rapidly in the Valley. I love to eat at Koreana and must confess that I rarely deviate from my favorites: cucumber salad followed by tuna sushi and various maki rolls. The food is always very fresh and delicious, and the service is attentive. Like all sushi, it's a little pricey but really a great experience. more

I was very impressed with the Koreana Restaurant!! It was a very excellent value, with a very wide range of food!! The sushi is a must to try!!! You can not go wrong with eating here!!
