I loved the practice years ago when I first turned 18 and had my first gyn visit... I have been with the practice for 9 years now... As the word got out about how great they were, and more patients started going, and old patients didn't leave (even if they moved states away)... They over did a great thing and its no longer what made us all go there and stay in the first place. \r
\r
They now have a nurse practioner, which I do NOT like, and do not want her near me or my sister again.\r
\r
My sister had a ruptured ovarian cyst a few months ago, and the tests showed another on her other ovary... Well this isn't good... My mother (who recently passed away) had issues with ovarian cysts, and when one erupted when she was young (23?) it turned septic and she needed a partial hysterectomy... Well my sister is only 22 years old now...\r
\r
The nurse practioner told her she was fine and that the body ""always"" produces cysts... Its normal and happens every month, her birth control level was fine, and didn't need to be changed and there was no need for a follow up till her next annual unless she had a problem... WHAT?!\r
\r
Your body shouldn't produce cysts, definitely not on birth control, and the dosage was aparantly too low to control the cysts, and she should definitely be monitored every few months for these cysts till they are controlled (especially with our family history)!!! I was infuriated... \r
\r
I don't like making appointments because you can never get one, and when you get there you wait, and wait, and wait, and wait... I will be looking for another women's practice soon and probably taking my sister with me too... \r
\r
Forget waiting for test results... They don't call you... You have to call them... \r
\r
They need a new policy:\r
\r
""No New Patients!"", take care of the ones you already have right now... Cause you won't have many left at the rate you're going...\r
\r
Pros: Was once awesome... Love the doctors...
Cons: Can't get appointment, long wait times, nurse practioner is AWEFUL!!!
