Horrible uncaring patient services 11/10/2009

I would give them a zero on rating.I had a miscarriage due to there uncaring answering service. I was spotting at 10 am called them the nurse or women who answered said it was because I had sex. Later at 7 pm I started having contractions called the emergancy number. An hour later the doctor calls me back says she can't do anthing now to go to virtua voorhees er. I go to er they make me wait an hour I ended up bleeding on chair in er. They took an half hour to get me back there. The dr from the office didn't feel like coming out to check me. So the er dr did. Then the next day I had to call them to see what I do next. I go in the office The dr tells me I would have been better to bleed out and have the miscarriage at home all alone. Then they tell me to take pills bleed out more get an ultra sound. I go do it all. And I get no call back on what the ultra sound said I had to call three times till I got a answer on the out come. And the doctor couldn't call me back a girl at the office did. I feel like a number there and not a human. They should lose there licenses. Cons: everything from waiting forever to the uncaring doctors more

poor treatment of clientele 9/6/2009

I am usually not one to ""tattletale"" but I felt compelled to write after being a recent patient here. I first had to wait an hour and a half before getting called back to the office where I met the NP. Unfortunately I found her very rude, condescending and unsympathetic to the discomfort I felt during the procedure. I could not get out of this office fast enough. Pros: ??? Cons: see below! more

horrible doctors-find another practice 9/4/2009

This practice is a disgrace to the medical profession. None of them have a clue what is going on with their patients, nor do they care. When I was pregnant they neglected to schedule my 8 week ultrasound, 4 weeks later when I had bleeding that led to a miscarriage they wondered why I never had an ultrasound. Then I had to have surgery and a year later I have to have corrective surgery after what they have botched up. There is absolutely no communication between the doctors or the rest of the staff. There were multiple occasions where I had to inform them of my situation and what the next steps were. I would strongly advise anyone to seek out another ob/gyn practice because these doctors do not provide the time and care a woman's body deserves and now unfortunately I am suffering the consequences. Cons: horrible doctors, no communication more

Was great years ago 8/6/2009

Slow on calling back with test results. A couple mis-diagnoses from the nurse practitioner. After feeling belittled after a few appointments with the nurse practitioner, I asked to see a doctor and they told me it'd be a three month wait. I immediately scheduled an appointment with another practice. I agree - they need to stop taking new patients and take care of their old ones, before we all disappear. Pros: coffee in waiting room? Cons: long waits, condescending staff more

Just joined 5/7/2009

I just joined this practice and i have found that for the most part the people are very respectful. I have heard from friends who go that the nurse practitioner is horrible but the doctors are pretty nice. I am a very young mother (second baby coming just after my 20th birthday) but i get treated like an adult here. My last OBGYN i waited up to 5 hours for an appointment and then at least another 30 minutes in the exam room so to wait here for 30-45 minutes is a dream come true. I was treated like a street walker at my old doctor and its amazing how nice most of the people here are. i found that morning appointments on Tuesdays and wednesdays are best. i got in, waited about 10 minutes, and was in and out before my time got above 30minutes. Ultrasounds here are a longer wait i have noticed but ONE of the ultrasound techs is really nice. the other one is kinda rude. For anyone who had a bad experience i am really sorry, but as for now i am totally happy with this place Pros: nice people mostly Cons: wait times on certain days more

Unprofessional & Disrespectful 11/14/2008

I made the easy decision to leave the practice after a second terrible appointment with their nurse practitioner. I went in for an exam and to confirm pregnancy, and she asked about my marital status. I told her that I had a 4 year old daughter and that my husband and I had been together for 11 years. She then goes on to say, ""so does this baby have the same daddy?"" I immediately severed ties and joined another practice. Yesterday I got a phone call from the Women's Group because they wanted to o give lab results. The woman I spoke with stated, ""on your last visit you tested positive for pregnancy and cancelled your previous appointment, did you terminate the pregnancy?"" I think it's obvious that I made the right decision to terminate my relationship with them. Pros: Best Doc left practice. Good for her! Cons: The entire group. more

Way too many patients and not enough Doctors 11/13/2008

I have been a patient of the practice for 15 years. Back in the day, they were great, very attentive, pleasant, etc. Now, not so. I almost died when I had my daughter 3 years ago because the on-call Dr. had too many deliveries to handle on her own and wasn't attentive to my situation. I wound up delivering my daugther, hemorrhaging to the point where I almost died, then had to be stitched up for an hour...all this because she didn't take the time to address my situation and call for a C-Section. I guess that would have taken up too much of her time. In addition, since their growth, I have, on many occassions, waited to see the Dr. for over 2 hours, only to wait again in the examining room for another 30-45 mins. Cons: long wait times, not enough doctors for the amount of patients more

Great Experience 7/8/2008

After reading all the reviews, I have to disagree with almost all of the ladies who posted comments. I was at the office yesterday and I was treated with the best service. I only waited about 15mins. I saw the Dr and the nurse practitioner. I called in on Friday for a Monday appointment. They were very compassionate to my situation- I recently had emergency laproscopy and removal of my right tube and ovary after my eight week ectopic pregnancy ruptured and caused me to hemorhage out for three days- due to another Dr's error about my complaining of pain and bleeding for two weeks! I am currently pregnant again.\r Anyway, I was referred by my sister in law who has been going to the Womne's Group since 1991 and she swears by it. Even when they found out I couldn't get my ultrasound in their office, they called me immediately and gave me the information for South Jersey Radiology- knowing that my current pregnancy is also an ectopic risk. I was treated with respect and given all the necessary explanations. \r For all the upset and angry patients- you should be in charge of your healthcare- you should know what you are getting into, you should ask questions and be an active participant in your treatment and YOU SHOULD LIKE YOUR DOCTOR! You should have a relationship with your GYN and his/her staff. I understand not being known or feeling like your doc is too busy to know YOU- I have been through that as well. \r Don't let anyone deter your thoughts to try the Women's Group- try it and make your decision yourself. You can switch docs as much as you need to untily ou find the right one- it's your body and it's important! Pros: quick appointments, docs are knowledgeable more

Too Much Expansion... 6/17/2008

I loved the practice years ago when I first turned 18 and had my first gyn visit... I have been with the practice for 9 years now... As the word got out about how great they were, and more patients started going, and old patients didn't leave (even if they moved states away)... They over did a great thing and its no longer what made us all go there and stay in the first place. \r \r They now have a nurse practioner, which I do NOT like, and do not want her near me or my sister again.\r \r My sister had a ruptured ovarian cyst a few months ago, and the tests showed another on her other ovary... Well this isn't good... My mother (who recently passed away) had issues with ovarian cysts, and when one erupted when she was young (23?) it turned septic and she needed a partial hysterectomy... Well my sister is only 22 years old now...\r \r The nurse practioner told her she was fine and that the body ""always"" produces cysts... Its normal and happens every month, her birth control level was fine, and didn't need to be changed and there was no need for a follow up till her next annual unless she had a problem... WHAT?!\r \r Your body shouldn't produce cysts, definitely not on birth control, and the dosage was aparantly too low to control the cysts, and she should definitely be monitored every few months for these cysts till they are controlled (especially with our family history)!!! I was infuriated... \r \r I don't like making appointments because you can never get one, and when you get there you wait, and wait, and wait, and wait... I will be looking for another women's practice soon and probably taking my sister with me too... \r \r Forget waiting for test results... They don't call you... You have to call them... \r \r They need a new policy:\r \r ""No New Patients!"", take care of the ones you already have right now... Cause you won't have many left at the rate you're going...\r \r Pros: Was once awesome... Love the doctors... Cons: Can't get appointment, long wait times, nurse practioner is AWEFUL!!! more

great doctors 3/10/2008

ive been with this practice for 8 years, i had a very serious problem and went to many doctors who told me i was lying about my pain and there was nothing wrong with me. I went to see Dr. Martinez at the Womens Group and she listened to me and went over the possibilties of my symptoms. Then i went through a serious of tests, she went over all of my results with me and told me her honest opinion, I really appriciated this seeing that most doctors dont give you the time of day or through a perscription at you. I went into surgery soon after which was very sucessful, and i havent had any pain since. I applaud her kindness and honesty. I enjoy calling the office and have come to know some of the women on the staff they are always very nice and polite. I recommend this office to anyone women who is looking for a professional opinion and service from another women. Pros: great service, friendly people Cons: waiting room, though when you pay for the best, you learn to wait more

mammograms beware... 1/28/2008

dr. wendy martinez needs to pay more attention when south jersey radiology asked for additional mammogram screens so that the insurance claim code is still preventative as opposed to diagnostic. this oversight ends up causing the patient to pay out-of-pocket as opposed to getting the monies from the insurance company. more

Doc. Mess up 1/6/2008

Hi well I want to let all the women know that this doc office was great many years ago and I wish I could still say that I love all the doc but i cant. The doc office just got way to big and now they don't even know who u are. I had a miscarriage in Nov. I went in for a D&E and was told I would be back on my feet the next day. Well four days later i was still in a lot of pain so I went back to the office and I found out that the doc left pieces in side of me. Well they gave me meds that were very dangerous to my body that put me in contractions for 48 hours. 2 weeks later I went in to see the doc that did the D&E and she didn't even know I had problems, she walked in the room and said ""so how are you feeling since the surgery."" Where is the communication this is just crazy I went thought 3 weeks of pain where i couldn't get out of bed because of the doc in this office was in a rush and didn't do a good job. Years ago I would have told you this was the best OBGYN, I moved and still traveled over and hour to see these doc. well not anymore! They don't even know who you are they just care about the money. So to all the women out there be careful and stay on top of the doc. Good Luck more

Friendly, Helpful and professional 5/10/2007

After reading all the other comments, I just thought I had to put my 2 cents in. I have been a patient of this practice for 7-8 years now and see Dr. D'Elia. I have nothing to terrible to say. I just called for my appointment and recieved one in 2 weeks the girl was very friendly and helpful. As for the doctor, she is always professional and caring. Probably the only downfall is the wait once you get in the office, but I have found that to be the case in most doctor's offices these days. Pros: Helpful, professional staff Cons: Waiting times in the office more

A disgrace to the medical profession!!! 3/27/2007

I have been a patient with this group for over three years and I am leaving. These doctors and nurses are a joke and a disgrace. They are rude, uncaring, and unprofessional. They called me a ""problem"" because I complained that I was waiting too long (over one hour) during a scheduled visit and because I was calling to find out about my test results. Beth (nurse) and Dr. Delia are a absolute disgrace to the health profession. Furthermore, Dr. Delia performed a rough culture exam on me that caused me to have bloody discharge the next day (mind you I'm 6 weeks pregant). DR. MARTINEZ AND ASSOCIATES YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON QUALITY AND NOT QUANTITY. Finally, start treating your patients with more respect and treat them as patients and not another number!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cons: worst treatment ever more

OB/GYN OFFICE 3/26/2007

I can not believe I'm reading these reviews!! I just left this practice after being w/ them for over 12 years. IT USED TO BE A GREAT PRACTICE BUT I couldn't get an appointment and no one was calling me back and when I did speak to the Nurse Practioner or the office staff they made me feel like I was over-reacting. I called and called the office, couldn't get an appt., then they couldn't schedule my procedure - it was SOO frustrating - i know i wasn't dying but a little attention and consideration would've alleviated my overall frustration of what was going on. Changed doctors. more

LONGEST WAITING ROOM WAIT EVER!! 3/4/2007

MY APPOINTMENT WAS FOR 5.30, I LEFT THE OFFICE AT \r 8.15.. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING SO OVERBOOKED IN MY LIFE...THOUGHT I'D TRY FIRST MORNING APPOINTMENT... 10 OTHER PEOPLE HAD THE FIRST APPOINTMENT TOO!!! more

HAD BEEN A PATIENT FOR 7 YEARS NOT ANYMORE!!! 2/6/2007

I first like to say that I HAD been a patient of the Womens Group for about 7 years.. Not anymore.. I called in Oct 2006 to schedule my yearly check up and was told that the first avail appointment would not be till Dec 9th. I took the appointment, unfortunately on Dec 9th I was in the middle of my cycle. The next avail appointment was not until Feb 5th, again I confirmed it and again my monthly cycle fell on this date. I called and receptionist to try to move it 1 week but was told that there are no available appointments now until April !!!! by the way I am available anytime of the day. Frustrated I told her that I had been a patient there for years but she could care less.... I hung up the phone and on the recommendation of my sister I called Garden State OBGYN and got an appointment the following week with a doctor...and unlike the Womens Group I only waited 15 minutes before being seen by the doctor. Pros: Doc's are great Cons: cannot get appointments, long wait once in the office more

Uncaring 10/6/2006

I never even made it into this office! I waited for 3 weeks for an appointment on a Monday, on the Friday before I was called at 1:00 in the afternoon and told the doctor was not available on Monday. I made this appointment after spending 9 hours in the Virtua ER, the cause of that was a ruptured cyst in my ovary, the ER also found another larger solid cyst on the same ovary. I was reccommended to Dr. Martinez by the ER doctor, I was scheduled as a problem patient. I called every day to see if I could be seen earlier, as I was in extreme pain for the entire time. When my appointment was cancelled the only option they offered me was to come in on Wednesday at 2:00. I am not able to take off work when I want to and it meant another 2 days of pain! They would not give me any other doctor or any other time and would not give me any other help options or referral.\r \r I found this to be the worst patient care I have ever encountered. more
