I love Kooma's food, the sushi is fresh and delicious, and the drinks are also good ! The atmosphere is great too, the only negative I'd say about the restaurant is that the waitstaff can sometimes be a little on the snotty side. I go there once every two weeks, and half the time, the server has a little bit of an attitude. I am a big fan of sushi and the sushi at Kooma is really great, the ambiance isn't bad, but the service is below average. They give you awesome portions and the price is worth what you are getting for the most part. I believe they just raised their prices on their special rolls. I have lived in Los Angeles for the past 4 years and this sushi restaurant can compete with the best of them. The ambiance is pretty good, but it can get loud inside at times. The service, however, is not that great. Hot sake has been served at room temperature, the waiter rang in the wrong items, sitting and waiting for what seemed to be an eternity and taking the bottle of wine from the server to display how to open it are a few experiences I have had, yet, I continue to return for the sushi. I went to Kooma two weeks ago with some friends because of a great recommendation from a friend. I enter the restaurant with high hopes, only to be completely disappointed by the wait staff. We waited two hours for our food. The sushi order came out first, and was incomplete. The sushi sat around for 45 minutes until the other entrees were served. At the end of the night, the bill was incorrect by about $40 due to sushi that wasn't available and who knows what else. Through the whole ordeal, no one apologized for our 3 hour dinner. To add insult to injury, our friend who recommended this restaurant came an hour after we arrived, sat outside at a different table, and was served and finished before we even got our food. Had a great time. Service was highly attentive without being overbearing. Very helpful with all questions about the menu and right on the money with food descriptions. I thought the prices were somewhat reasonable. Had four appetizers because everything sounded so good and I wanted a crossection of what they offered. My total bill, including two glasses of wine was $39, and I had some expensive appetizers. Presentation was intriguing and portion size adequate. Kooma is a hip and trendy Asian Fusion restaurant. The waitors are helpful, friendly and entertaining; you feel as if they are serving you alone because of the abundance of attention each diner is given. And the food is absolutly amazing! This is a great restaurant if you want to get away from the typical ""dining out"" food and want to enjoy a trendy ambience. Be adventurous and sit back and enjoy their great drinks, hip music, and truly unique and delicous food. more

We have eaten at this restaraunt several times. Each time the food gets better and better. The decor is trendy and fun. The service for the most part is decent, sometimes a little too slow when they get busy. We really enoy this restaurant which features sushi and other types of Asian food. One of my favorites is the catapillar role. It is a bit pricey for West Chester so bring the gold card. They don't take Amex which is a bummer.
