Best

So now I know what all goes into a personal training session. These programs have completely changed the way I look at exercising. Pretty awesome!

Worst

I paid an enrollment fee and then its $70 per month. I'll pay $100 to break the annual contract I signed. I did not lose weight on this program. So if you are already fit, this...

If you want results...use this place! 1/19/2012

I have been a member or over a year and I have lost 44lbs and went from a 42 pant size to a 34. I havent been a 34 pant size since I was a freshman in college. The place provided me with a specialized program that was customized just for me to get me the reults I wanted. If you are lazy and not willing to put in the work then go to the doctor and pay him 10K bucks and get a lap band. If you want to get your health back and stay healthy I would recommend this place. I love the staff and the owners are very nice and help out when they can. My wife can't keep her hands off of me which is the best part about my life. I have referred many friends and family and I noticed people posted stuff that doesnt correspond to my or anyones experience of the people I know. I think some people need to take a real hard look at themselves and realize that anything you do is great but if you can't get your diet in check and watch how many burgers you are inhaling then there is no one to blame but yourself. Again, I owe my new body to Koko but more importantly to me for having the sheer determintation to be consistent and hold myself accountable for my actions......BOOOYAAA! Koko Rocks.....check it out! more

Do not join this place 1/9/2012

I joined the Frisco location of Koko Fit Club in July 2011. I was initially very reluctant to sign a one year contract. My goal was to lose weight and Chase, the employee that conducted my fit test guaranteed I would see results and that if I didn't they would work with me until I do. I have been working out regularly since July 2011 on average 2 - 3 times a week at Koko Fit Club. In the interim - when I have not seen results I have asked the employees at the location about why I have not seen any results and what can be done about the program to modify it so that I can see results. I have repeatedly been told on no less than 3 occasions that I just have to continue with my program. After having done this program for more than 6 months - I have not seen any weight loss or gain in muscle - my clothes do not fit any better. In addition, I have been counting calories and watching my diet. My frustration with not having seen results prompted me to contact the manager Jarret Gonzales on January 4, 2012. I informed him that I have not seen results and would therefore like to cancel my membership. He tried to convince me of all the results I have achieved based on the chart of "strength gains". I told him that I am not seeing results and he said "you're obviously replacing muscle with something" I told him I would like to cancel it and he told me the cancellation would cost $226. I asked to speak to the owner. I was told that they " MIGHT have the time to speak to me this afternoon". I threatened to take this matter up with the BBB and Texas Attorney General and hung up the phone. Jenee Harris, the owner, called me within 15 minutes. Without hearing my side of the story - she tried to sell me on how wonderful their program and what I needed to do. Further she accused me of lying about my calorie consumption. When I asked her why the program mainly only had upper body work she asked me again which program you I was on, I told her I was on the weight loss program, she asked how much weight I wanted to lose and when I told her it was 10 to 15 lbs she admitted that the program that I had been put on for the last 6 months was INCORRECT. I became livid - I had just wasted 6 months trying to loose weight on a program that was supposedly "designed especially for me". She even went as far as saying that "you must be the only person in the planet that cannot genetically lose weight". I am very upset at their behavior. Their customer service is horrible. They seem to be trained to blame the person. Their whole program is computerized, there is definitely something to be said to have a person that cares to turn to. This program does not even compare to a personal trainer. This is deceptive practice. They promised results when I signed up. I asked for help when the program was not working for me. When I told them that I had not seen results and said I wanted to cancel. They said that no one can guarantee any results - not even a personal trainer. Please read some of the reviews that have been posted online about them. This seems to be the way they conduct business with a lot of customers. more

Terrible Customer Service!! 12/21/2011

Terrible customer service -- I joined in January 2011 shorly after they opened. The owner is who signed me up and was very friendly. But isn't that they job to get you to sign-up? A couple of weeks ago I went in to cancel since I had not been using the service AND had recently had a change in job status that reduced my salary quite a bit. Times are tough and was looking to save any way I can. The $80 a month is an expense I can do without. Spoke with Lindsey who had me fill out a non-renewal form and said I was good to go. She took my key fob and I left thinking all was well. Later that day the Area Manager contacted me to indicate they have a policy that you must cancel at least 30 days BEFORE the contract expires and I missed it by TWO days. I called him back, explained my situation and asked if there was any way to make an exception. He did not think there would be because another customer had just gone through the same process having missed her deadline by four days. When he approached the owners about her, they declined to provide any break. I asked if he could at least try for me and indicated he would. By the way, he mentioned that they have 1000 members. If that is true, that is $80,000 a month in income and the owners can afford to miss my payment. He also told me that because of their large customer base they couldn't email everyone and remind them of their renewals. Funny ... I have belonged to numerous on-line services that manage to contact me about renewals BEFORE taking my money just to ensure I want to continue with them. Within the next day, I had received an email explaining that no exception would be made for me and that if I still wanted to cancel, I would need to come back in fill out another form and pay a $250 cancellation fee. Oh yes, I still want to cancel. So if you are thinking of joining a gym this year - avoid KoKo FitClub. They have no concept of customer care. more
