After years of dining in the Carlsbad Village area and passing Koko Beach time after time...I have finaly stopped in. And I can say I am glad I did! Koko Beach does have an older, ""Fire Side"" type feel to it. But it is inviting and lively at the same time. The bar area does get full pretty quickly with regulars, especially during major sporting events... but I still found ample room to grab a beer while waiting for our table. I was pleasantly surprised to see that even during a peak time.. pints were only $5, which included local craft beer! The dining area is not huge, but laid out well with a service station in the middle allowing most anyone that passed to refill waters, get plates etc. The staff, from the hostess to the bartenders, waitress and bussers were great. Never failing to offer a hand when passing our table or offering a suggestion on the ""Steakhouse"" type menu. The food was great, several specials offered a variety of items from fish, to chicken and steaks at reasonable prices. My family and I tried everything from the salmon to the flat iron steak to a burger. All got a satisfied thumbs up! All in all, Koko Beach isa great option for a late night meal, family get together, or just a beer and a game!
