I stayed at this hotel this month. The room was just a basic room without frills but my experience with the management was the worst. I live in California and was in Vt. to visit one of my sons. I asked the morning of the 6th if I could have a little later checkout time to spend some more time with my son. The gentleman at the desk agreed to let me have a couple of hours extra saying they weren't very busy anyway.\r

When I got back to the hotel around 12:30 and took my key to the desk a woman told me that I would have to pay for a extra day because I was late. The man was nowhere in evidence and even though I told her that I was told I could have a later check out she insisted that I would have to pay and wouldn't acknowledge that I had permission or check with her co-worker.\r

If I had known that this would have happened I would have packed my stuff and gotten out of the room before 11am. She went ahead and charged my card despite my protest.\r

I asked my mom to call the motel to try to reason with them. The person who answered the phone stated she was the owner. When she heard mom's request to reverse the charges she refused and said the maids had gone home and the charge would stand. She at first acknowledged that I had asked for a later checkout then denied it and hung up on mom. Mom had to call her back to get her name then she hung up on mom again.\r

I will not stay here again
