This place was a nightmare for my family. My son and I were pushed, shoved and elbowed by a man in line and the security did not help us. I fear for families who go to this park. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/18/2012

Came here the week after six flags, and honestly overall, knott's is better. I came here with my niece to treat her to a fun day and she just loved it. Personally I want to try and come here for their Halloween event, looks rather enticing. When I came here though it felt like a wholesome place to bring family to. I'm glad I brought my little niece here, though I don't know if I will again because she kept wanting to get me wet at soak city. more

Hot day at the park 7/20/2011

I took my kids to the park 2 summers ago since I visited here as a child when in California decades ago. It was a very hot day and there was no relief from the sun. This park does not have many shady areas. We usually start later in the day so we can go into the night so strategically we were able to avoid the sun because it was evening. The water ride was great and we were able to get on over and over as it got later. Most people didn't want to get wet in the evening. In the evening there are a lot of horny teenagers making out in the dark corners. A lot more attitude as they start taking over the park later in the day. Mouthy and disrespectful but when you go on the cheaper end you are going to find there are always some of those in the crowd. All in all though it was more family oriented earlier in the day... the teenagers must be sleeping in. Mostly they appeared unsupervised. There was one instance when I told my boys to go around a large group of teenagers and a mouthy tweener, in front of her mother, challenged me. NICE! The hold up on the train was disappointing as I recall it being a loud shoot out with the actors really getting into it. Now the cowboys come right up to you, real friendly like, and say hi. Probably better for little kids. What happened to the action packed entertainment? All in all, if you can't afford the steep price at Disney, younger kids may not know the difference. Bring them here and as they get older, they will really enjoy the higher end Disney Park. We spend every summer here and I won't be going back to this park. That encounter with the ""supervised"" tweener in a larger group of tweeners becoming so confrontational was really uncomfortable because it could have only gone downhill if I had engaged. I had two young boys with me. We left the park immediately. more

Oldies are goodies best Theme Park around 7/13/2011

This park has been around forever, but the place still has that magic. The rides are great and the place looks like a western movie..what more can you ask for. One of the reasons we decided to go was my friend told me about this site called discounts4fun. We got 30% off our tickets by using this site. Love this park! more

knotts 1/6/2009

its definitely not disneyland by any means but it can be fun for the family. my favorite time to go is around halloween. the rides are fun and its something the whole family can do more

The only time to go is Halloween! 7/31/2008

So, sure this is a fun place- not as cool as Disneyland, not as many great rides as Six Flags...but the coolest thing about this place is when it turns in to Knott's Scary Farm, which makes the whole thing entirely worth it. Kind of a one time thing, but definitely something to check out if you've never been. more

Knotts so nice, berry farm 3/2/2008

My 12 year old daughter just got back from Knotts yesterday where she attended a birthday party for one of her class mates. The only thing she could talk about were all the strange people that she saw there and how they scarred her.. She said the place was full of ""goth"" people and kids with excessive amounts of piercings and tattoos, and it made her feel uncomfortable. She was particularly scared of one goth kid who had white contacts in his eyes ...... She also said that the staff wasn't very friendly... She made the comment ""It's no Disneyland"". Pros: It's close to those who live in O.C. Cons: Dirty, unfriendly staff, don't expect Disneyland...... more

Best theme park in So Cal 10/30/2007

In the ""Land of Disney"", I have to say that my favorite theme park is actually Knott's. As a native Angeleno, I've been visiting Knott's for decades. It's changed a lot over the years (like all the theme parks), but they've held onto many of the things I love about this park. The old western town...the midway games...and it's still one of the few places I can get a truly mouth-puckering pickle right out of a huge wooden barrel. Of course, these days they are famous for their Halloween Haunt, but throughout the rest of the year, it's still fun. Of course, there's always fried chicken and boysenberry syrup!! Cons: pricey admission more

Couldn't even Get in to tell ya... 10/27/2007

I think it's ridiculous how they oversell the Knotts Scary Farm event. Couldn't even get close enough to tell you if it sucked or not. I'm sure once we got in the lines would be too long and the crowds too frustrating to even enjoy ourselves. After dropping $46 per ticket, we decided to turn around and come home...drink some beer and just watch scary movies instead. Pros: Nada Cons: Just plain crowded. Expect to sit in traffic for hours and forget about finding parking more

Knotts Scary Farm 10/30/2006

We went to the Halloween Haunt the night before Halloween and it was a big disappointment. The park was too overcrowed to enjoy, it was an effort just walking around trying to avoid walking into people. The lines to any of the decent rides/mazes were way too long for any sane person to stand in. Pros: Inventive attractions Cons: Too crowded more

Amazing Park--The Cedar Point of the west. 6/2/2006

I'm from Indiana and went to to Knott's Berry Farm while visiting family in CA. I would recommend getting the California Tour gift package or whatever so you can go to CA best tourist locations. That's the whole reason why we went to KBF. I wasn't sure what to expect from KBF at first. After about an hour, I was having the time of my life. If you are familiar with Cedar Point in OH (the best roller coaster park in the world), you'll LOVE KBF. All the rides had no more than 15 min wait. The crowds were low and the food delicious. If you want to the fun of Cedar Point but not the crowds, Knott's Berry Farm is the place for you. Also, outside the park they have an identical replica of Independence Hall where you can go in and tour. Pretty neat. Pros: Lines, Rides, Prices Cons: Bathrooms more

Knott's Berry Farm. The ULTIMATE theme park. 8/16/2005

Yes, I love Six Flags Parks, but they seem so unwelcoming. They just tell you to get in, go on our rides, and get out. None of them have their own websites, either. They rely on Six Flags to do that for them. They don't make their own decisions, and the parks are almost always dirty and the lines are huge. Knotts though, is AMAZING. So you're a thrill seeker? Go on Ghost Rider, Xcelerator, ect. So you're scared of that? Go on other rides, or hang out at Camp Snoopy with your kids. Also, the service is great. And for people who heard about the accident where that woman fell off? That was before they had OTS seatbelts and she was being stupid and stood up during the drop. Don't let that stop you from going on it. If you are stopping in California, make this a main priority. Pros: Rides, Friendly Staff, Prices Cons: None. more

My favorite place in the world. 8/12/2005

I love to go to this park and have since I was a kid. The rides are great, and the lines are short. They have a great stunt show that I absolutely love. Unlike other parks like Disneyland and Six Flags they have great rides for the thrill seekers and fun rides for kids. Camp Snoopy is a great place for kids. Ghostrider is a great ride for the more thrill seeking people. They also have Accelerator which is great. The new ride, Silver Bullet, is all right but not great. It has good dessert too. Pros: rides , price , short lines more

Knott's Berry Farm is the best!!! 10/11/2002

I love the rides here, and the lines here the lines are short. The rides here are as thrilling as in Magic Mountain ( maybe even better). If you go you have the best ride there , which is Supreme Scream. Knott's is the best overall. more

Relaxed version of Magic Mountain 9/25/2002

If you want to avoid the long lines at Magic Mountain with a lesser number of rides and lesser thrills, head to Knottsberry farm. Located in Buena Park, with Soak City right next to it. The Ghost Rider is one of the best wooden rollercoasters out there , and don't miss the Supreme Scream (take your shoes off for this one). If you get tired by evening, go for the log ride.... its nice and relaxing. Pros: shorter wait lines, family atmosphere, friendly staff Cons: 8$ parking! more

SCAREY? NOT THE PLACE... 8/21/2002

During seasons aside from Halloween, Knotts BERRY farm is known as a great place to relax and have some fun. If you compare this to Six Flags magic mtn, it's nothing similar. Knotts has a few rides that might get you going, but they're thrills are not nearly as HUGE as Six Flags. The rides are short, but fun- Not much of a 'thrill' During Halloween this place has spooks EVERYWHERE! It's defeinetely a GREAT scare if that's what you're looking for at that time of the year! There are also games to play and win prizes. Pros: NO LONG LINES more

Scary Farm 7/25/2002

I am not someone who likes amusment parks or being scared for that matter but- you must come at least once to knott's during the month of october. Darkness..smokey paths...scary creatures around every bend and hiding in every nook.. You will be scared! Bring alot of friends to grab onto.. trust me you will be glad that you did.. I loved it but i won't go again! If you bring younger people here make sure that they know they are in for a real good scare..i have seen people cry! anyway go at least once more

Definitely a 10! 7/22/2002

I can't even count the amount of times I've been to Knott's Berry Farm in my life, and no matter how many other times I go, I will never stop loving it. The rides are a thrill, the attractions are great. There's something for everyone whether you're into scary rides or not. The food is yummy, and the deserts are to die for. There's a lot of shopping, too, and a lot to do in the area if you're going to be around for a day or two. I love Knott's Berry Farm because I feel like I'm at home there. It's so clean, friendly, safe, and easy to navigate. I have to go back soon, I miss it! Pros: safe, friendly, a lot to do! more

We bpught a season pass 7/19/2002

Knotts Berry Farm makes you feel like you're in the ""old west"". It's not as crowded as other attractions. Also the people seem to be more laid back. It is more family oriented with camp snoopy for little ones and the mexican village for pre-teens and the boardwalk for the more adventerous. The new ride excelorator is insane. There is also the mine ride and the log ride and the shows for grandma and grandpa. You'll love it ! Pros: Inexpensive, Easy parking, nice employees more
