This store is wonderful. Staff is very helpful!! Kim is a great teacher the BEST in Wisconsin. I have been beading for almost 15 years and I will not attend any other store for classes. Some people should know when you go bead shopping you need a couple of hours. Time goes very quickly when you shop for beads, SO MANY COLORS. As far as price there the best!!!!!!!!!!! You must look at how many grams you are buying other stores in Wisconsin the price is almost double. Ask how many grams are in the slender long tubes you will be surprised. more

This store is the best. Loaded with tons of unique interesting items. Top quality semi precious stones, great glass beads, and hoards of Vintage. Everywhere you look there is something different. Loads of unique items. Vintage cabinets are a true treasure hunt of items. Been there twice this week and will return often. more

I just had my first class at Knot Just Beads this weekend and it was great!!! I've taken classes elsewhere, including the ""big"" shows and have never had the kind of attention as in the class I just took. Not only was the teacher (who was the owner) knowledgeable in what she was teaching us, but she also had insight is the products that we were using. Very refreshing!!! I visit all of the area bead stores on a regular basis and return to Knot Just Beads for their quality merchandise and ethical honest approach to business. The owner is a true bead artist, not a fly by night ""crafter"", and knows the bead business inside out. She is interested in using beads as an artistic medium and in teaching techniques; that is refreshing. Her new location on 76th Street in Greenfield is beautiful with excellent lighting and the continuing terrific selection of materials; what a setting to be inspired! I've been beading for well over 20 years and just love this store. I don't know why other reviewer felt the need to mention another store in the review of this one. The owner is always very friendly, helpful and honest. They carry a unique selection of semi precious stones and vintage items. Not your run of the mill merchandise. The pearls and semi precious stones are extremely high quality not the ""same old"" stuff that I've seen at the various other stores in town. Czech glass bead selection is good mix of basics and unique items. It's the only store (I've been to them all) that takes the time to get to know me, and remembers my name upon returning. I just can't say enough good things about this store and their classes. You won't be sorry with any merchandise that you purchase here. I shop at Snotty Beads (as many of us call it - we all came to that opinion separately) because they have a good selection of seed beads and it is close to home. And I don't get the delicas in a case - do they have a problem with delica thieves or themselves? Pros: Close to home, parking Cons: Rudeness from the owner, not the employees. They aren't open on Sunday. more

I've shopped at Knot Just Beads many times - but luckily I gather, never close to closing time! I have, however, been at Eclectica a few times past closing time (with other shoppers who couldn't tear themselves away from the many choices there) and never got any grief from any clerk, manager or owner there. Knot Just Beads is very small and does have bad lighting - and they don't seem to try to do anything to compete with the larger bead stores in the area (their choices are fewer but their prices seem just as high). Considering this, but mostly the attitude that the Knot Just Beads owner seems to have toward paying customers, I won't be back...until their store closing sale. When I think of Knot Just Beads, I think of quality. Staff is knowledgable about beading and helpful if I have questions. The classes are great-I've learned so much and become a much better beader. Their sales are really good and make the already good prices even better. more

I AM THAT OTHER WOMAN AND TOTALLY CONCUR WITH PREVIOUS REVIEW. I WAS VERBALLY AND PHYSICALLY ABUSED. NOT LEAVING FAST ENOUGH THAT WOMAN PUSHED THE DOOR AGAINST MY BACKSIDE AS I WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR PUSHING ME OUT OF THE STORE. I believe there is a reference to this very thing. HERE'S MY STORY. I have been to this store three times recently because it is near by. I will not go again after my experience today. The first time I went the owner wanted to take my covered coffee cup from me. The second time the clerk asked to take my coat, which I was wearing. When I didn't take it off and give it to her she followed me around the store as though expecting me to steal from the store. Tonight I got there about 25 minutes before closing, 6pm. I had items I wanted to buy and was standing at the counter. Another woman was looking through a basket of packaged beads on the counter next to the cash register. The clerk started turning off the lights at about 6:03pm and the owner said she was closing and told the woman looking through the basket to stop. The woman said she wanted to look for one more item and the owner said the store was closed. I said that it was only a few minutes after 6pm and that she, the owner, needed to check me out, implying that the other customer had time to look for another item while I checked out. The owner grabbed the beads that I had put on the counter, approximately $90.00 worth, and raised her voice and said ""I'm not selling you anything, get out."" Myself and the other customer attempted to reason with her and check out, she kept telling us to leave because the store was closed and saying she would never sell either of us anything. I went out the door first, as the other customer was trying to leave the owner pused the door against the customers body pushing her out of the store! The owner, who identified herself as the owner, had her voice raised through this entire incident. I was and am shocked by such behavior, particularly from a small business owner. It was beyond bad customer service, hard to describe how inappropriate and abusive the owner was. Cons: Owner is abusive towards customers more

Knot Just Beads has a wide variety of seed beads in all colors and sizes. They are limited in other types of beads. There is a good selection of pewter charms. The staff is helpful. Their seed bead prices are good but other beads seem pricey. more
