Brought my 2008 Legacy here for power steering trouble. After installing new belt, I was told that I needed a new P/S unit. They didn't have Subaru unit but would get me a part from NAPA. Two hours later, I was told NAPA delivered the wrong part. Two hours later, I was told the unit did not fix the problem..I needed a new P/S rack. Stopped all work and had them replace my old parts. Went to Subaru NE for a second opinion. After inspecting my car, a representative hand picked by Subaru of New England told me there was nothing wrong with my P/S unit or P/S rack. I simply needed my belt tightened. I could have been out $2000 if I hadn't had the sense to stop the foolishness. This borders on fraud and I am lodging a complaint with the Attorney General's office.
