Over the past two years, I have been coming to Nashville to attend Predators hockey games. I am not a Predators fan, however, they are the closest National Hockey League team to where I live. Nashville is a fun city to hang out in all in all. The Knights Inn Downtown Nashville has turned out to be a pleasant surprise, both last year and this year. It has one of the most reasonable rates for a downtown Nashville Hotel. It actually is not right in the center city, in fact, in an industrial area just outside of the main core of the downtown area. Nevertheless, it is a convenient location. Not long before I first stayed here last year, the hotel apparently underwent a change of ownership and it appeared to pay off well for the hotel as they were in the process of making cosmetic upgrades to the facilities. I saw more of those improvements this year in new coats of paint and the grounds being more spruced up. It is a dated property, llkely built some time in the 1960s or 1970s, but again, the people running the place now are upgrading it. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. On both visits, the rooms were clean and everything was in reasonable working order. The only suggestions that I would make for improvement would be slightly larger bath towels and increased breakfast hours(perhaps 6 AM to 10 AM, versus 7 AM to 9 AM). All in all, I can honestly say that I can be a repeat customer at Knight's Inn Downtown Nashville.
