After calling multiple times over multiple business days and leaving two messages, I finally got a call back four days later. I was on vacation that day, so I called back the next...

Never answers their phone, will only call back days later 4/4/2017

After calling multiple times over multiple business days and leaving two messages, I finally got a call back four days later. I was on vacation that day, so I called back the next day and still no answer. A woman named Diane called me back. I said wow I have called multiple times over multiple days and you never answer the phone. She got indignant , argumentative, nasty, saying, well, I'm calling you now!! She talked over me, refused to let me speak, then put me on hold. So I hung up. Who knows if either doctor in this office is any good when you can't set an appointment? Which I never will with this office. Poor poor office management. more

Breakthrough Laser Cure for Fungal Toenails A new procedure is now available for the treatment of fungal (mycotic) nails. This breakthrough technology was introduced at the American Podiatric Medical Association annual conference in Hawaii this past summer ('08). It is known as the inpulse pinpoint laser treatment. To date,it had been utilized by top podiatric surgeons in California, and now introduced to the Dallas - Ft. Worth area by Dr. Mojgan Tavakoli & Dr. Horst P. Knapp, board certified foot surgeons. Onychomycosis (fungus of the nail) is a chronic, progressive, debilitating disease of the nail, nail bed and matrix (root). Over the years dermatophytes (fungal elements) enter the nail bed from the skin. The traditional treatments of topical creams, lotions, etc, although somewhat effective, are difficult to use in chronic and progressive cases. The main stay of treatment has been oral medications. Lamisil (terbinafine) has been the most effective treatment recently in the eradication of onychomycosis with an approximately 70% cure rate; however, blood tests need to be taken due to the fact that there are side effects, especially with the liver. Cost is also a consideration as well. Treatment needs to be at least for three months and recurrence rate has been high. Often a second round of three months oral medicine is necessary. There are other medications including Diflucan, which is much too expensive and takes a year of treatment. Sporonox, another treatment, has a much lower effective rate and also is expensive. "To say we can now address this problem safely without medicines is nothing short of amazing."
