Recycling ok 12/26/2008

The recycling rules are a bit high maintenance but they did keep the items separated if it's done to their specifications. Newspaper clean and dry, no labels allowed on cans, no plastic other than milk bottles, aluminium cans and everything washed. I'm alittle disappointed that they don't take other plastic but at least this is a start. I watched them this afternoon after I read the other review on recycling to make sure they didn't dump it into the general trash. Glad to say my efforts to recycle weren't wasted. more

Don't do it! 8/17/2007

They have missed our trash pick-up several times (four times in the last year). Since we are scheduled on a Friday, if I call and complain they can't do anything until next week. They are very rude on the phone. Also, whatever they tell you on the phone is often unreliable. They won't take cardboard. Don't do it! more

Yesterday, I was doing the final walk through at the house we have just bought. The seller was telling us he used Klean Way for thrash removal. Unfortunately, when the garbage truck passed by, and removed thrash, those two guys made loud noise imitating they were speaking Chinese. They were blatantly rude and racists, and should be fired. I guess they just can't bear the thought of removing waste generated in a neighborhood with progressive whites, Chinese, Indians, Koreans, Europeans..... more

Recycling 4/2/2006

I chose this garbage service because they offered recycling. I'm not so certain that they actually recycle anything - the garbage men who service my neighborhood just dump my (neatly sorted) recyclables into the truck with the rest of the trash. I now take my recyclable trash to the Urbana recycling drop-off center. That being said, the garbage bins that they supply you are sturdy and large, and the trash is collected on time. If it weren't for the recycling issue, they do a great job. more
