Not Recommended 11/3/2012

I worked at this hospital briefly, and if you love your pets, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO KITTERY ANIMAL HOSPITAL OR CREATURE COMFORTS. The facility rates poorly because it is filthy, unprofessional, unsanitary, unsafe (for staff and animals), inhumane, and really should be closed down. I could not sleep at night (the animals are treated so poorly) so I had to quit for my sanity. This place has poor ratings for a reason. Trust the information and do not go here for any reason. more

Great people 2/22/2011

I am still waiting for a call from the manger, but today was the very first day that I went there to look for a cat. I found exactly what I was looking for and the people there helping me was really nice and even put me in a room with the cat to know it more before I purchase it. more

Kittery Animal Hospital is not the place for you 12/2/2009

kittery animal Hospital is great as long as you do not mind rude customer service and price gouging. If you ever get a price quote from them make sure it is in writing other wise they will hit you with additional charges. I would not tell anyone to go to kittery animal Hospital, If you care about your animal and your wallet there are much better places out there. more

Exceptional Service 12/16/2008

I completely disagree with the other comments. I was a new client and the staff was very helpful, could answer all my questions, as well as remembered my pet and I when we came in for our second appointment. I work in human medicine and understand that in order for a medical business to be able to help its patients properly it does need to be paid for the services that they render. The only way they can remain in business is by making sure they are paid as well as their supplies and employees get paid. Put yourself in their shoes, they obviously put themselves in yours every day by being there to help take care of your pets! Thank you kittery animal hospital for your exceptional service! more

More interested in your money than good service 11/22/2008

I used Kittery Animal Hospital for two years and was pleased with the service initially. It was after boarding my pets there at Creature Comforts for the second time that they lost my business forever.\r \r While I was out of town and my pets were in their care they took in a sick animal with a highly contagious illness. Instead of putting this sick animal in isolation they left it in the normal boarding area and caused 40 other pets to become ill. They told me that there was one animal in isolation and they did not want to infect that one. So they put all the others at risk! \r \r I was not contacted when one of my pets became ill and they treated BOTH animals at my expense without ever once contacting me. I had left many phone numbers so they could contact me. Even though it was their fault my pet became sick they still charged me for exams and meds totalling $70 for both pets. They never even bothered to figure out which one was ill. At the very least I should not have been cha more

Poor Customer Service for Long Term Customer 6/19/2008

I did a great deal of business with the Kittery Animal Hospital for 13 years for 4 dogs and a cat. I spent thousands of dollars there especially when my Golden got cancer. THEN I got very sick and was hospitalized for 3 months and diagnosed with a terminal illness that prevented me from working. When it came time for my Golden to be put to sleep and we were not able to pay the complete $140 (left a 60 balance) we were treated very rudely by the staff and were given a very ard time about billing rather than paying in full. After 13 years this was too much. Money is all that matters and the staff are very rude. more

Great place for pets 11/13/2005

I brought my cat there for his vet needs and was very happy with the service that they provided. I felt confident that my cat was in good hands. Their prices are reasonable, although when I got additional cats, I wasn't given a discount for bringing 3 pets for their annual visit. I know some vets do that. When one of my cats died, they send my family a sympathy card which I thought was great because the whole staff signed it. PROS: Great care CONS: No discounts more
