best fish, worst service 5/4/2007

I'll put this bluntly 10 star food, 1 star service. If you are going on a hot date, this is not the place to go. Don't go here to impressive someone either as you'll never get your food or drinks. BUT, this is probably the best sushi restaurant in the south bay....meaning they have the freshest fish around. more

best sushi in my life 1/5/2007

Big piece of fresh juicy meat. I love to go there, sit on the bar, and just tell the chef for chef special. this is the best. and also try the special tofu. it's in 3 colors like the ice-cream. yummy. Pros: food Cons: service more

Best Sushi Anywhere. 12/20/2006

Kitsho may lack a bit in the area of service, but their quality of sushi and Japanese food more than make up for it. A little know secret is they have an entire menu of food that is not on the English Menu, it is only on the Japanese Menu. They have a tri-color home made tofu and many other ""home made"" foods. Bring a friend that can translate and enjoy. Also keep an eye on the changing specials on the board as you walk in. They have a vegetable udon that is out of this world in the winter. Pros: Sushi, Authentic Japanese Food if you can read the Japanese Menu more

Sushi to die for- 10/28/2006

One of the things I miss most about the bay area (now that I live in LA) is not having a great sushi place like Kitsho around. This restaurant has the freshest sushi around (almost like being in Japan).\r \r Although the restaurant is hidden near a corner shopping plaza, it's truly a gem. When I do make it to the bay area, I make sure to go straight to Kitsho for my sushi fix. Pros: Fresh sushi, fresh sushi, and fresh sushi Cons: Not cheap but worth it!, Busy sushi bar more

good sushi and food - just terrible service! 5/28/2006

I have frequented Kitsho many, many times. Howard (the owner) has some of the freshest sushi around. The only problem is his wife and the other staff! They are rude, obnoxious and just plain dont know what ""service"" is. They have attitude and are not helpful at all. The bad service is such a turn-off that we rarely eat there anymore. more

Terrible Service 11/9/2005

For some reason, someone in our group found her beef teriyaki very tough to chew. The meat was very rubbery and plasticy and was even starting to hurt her jaw She called the waitress, then the maager and tried to see if there was anything wrong or something they could do. They said there was nothing they could do, they never had any complaints about the meat, the meat quality is consistently good, and also told us that we would have to order another dish if we wanted to eat something different. My friend was very upset that they would refuse to comtemplate even the possibility that the meat that was served was somehow different from the norm, and they flat out refused to take any action. The restaurant thought they knew better anyone. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. Pros: Usually good food Cons: Inconsiderate Service, "Customers are wrong" more

Best sushi I've had in the Bay! 6/11/2004

I just recently moved here, but Kitsho has the best sushi I've had in the Bay Area, hands down. The ""homemade"" agedashi tofu was superb as was every bite of the omakase. Although I'm not a huge fan of tamago, their tamago is one of the best I've tasted. Their miso is first rate. Nothing compares to fresh miso. Pros: Excellent fish, Perfect Tofu, Great tasting miso more

Excellent sushi 4/15/2004

Although the sushi will cost a bit more than most places, the freshness and quality are worth every penny. By far the best sushi in town! Pros: Best sushi, Friendly service Cons: , Small parking lot more
