Kingstowne Lawn & Landscape

Kingstowne takes care of my lawn as well as my neighbor's. We both have the best lawns on the block. They also built a patio and did some landscape work for us. I highly recommend them. more

I met with Jodie Hinman for a design and layout. She made great recommendations and was extremely thorough in reviewing and understanding what we were looking to accomplish. As a result, we completed mulching, new sod in front and back yard, extensive tree trimming, extensive landscape in the front and back yard, a rock garden and a deck. \r From the beginning I was impressed with Jodie and how she handled everything we asked for. I tend to require a lot of communication during projects like this and no matter day or night she answered emails, made suggestions, provided quotes, went outside of her company to find other contractors to do special work. Honestly, in the 10 years I've been doing home renovations (on 3 different houses) I've never experienced such dedication from one person at a company. She met on-site with her crew at the beginning of every large project, she listened and implemented or addressed everything I mentioned as a concern - especially the shallow TV cable line that was barely 2 inches underground - her crew went out of their way to know where it ran and how to handle it so it wouldn't be broken during the sod planting process. When I had any questions or concerns she would either stop by or know exactly what the issue was. Beyond Jodie, Kingstowne Lawn and Landscape has a great crew of folks that are professional, skilled and know how to handle anything. The results of the work exceeded my expectations, the deck crew did an amazing job - everything was done on time, on budget with no surprise costs, cleaned, swept - no nails left in the driveway, no dirt piles left around. Just an all around great job. I have read reports on here that their pricing is a bit higher than others - I definitely did not experience that. What's more impressive is they were able to fit us into their schedule to build a deck after the company we had hired to do the deck went bankrupt - we walked through scope, price, timing very quickly and the only delay was because of rain and the city permitting process. They put up our back fence for the back of our townhouse. Every fall, they do aeration and all the seeding of our lawn. They do fantastic work on all the 3 things they do. It has always gone very well in a timely manner and on budget. They come by during the week when I am at work. When I come home, it is perfect. There are no problems.\r more

I want to thank you for my beautiful front yard! Both Joe and I are really pleased, and enjoying it very much. It is so nice to be rid of the ""sparse grass, no character"" look, and we really like the sidewalk. Sure makes getting in and out of the Jeep a breeze. I cannot say enough good things about Marvin. He has excellent people skills and provided outstanding customer service. He and his crew did a great job and I would not hesitate to request him and his crew for another project. And again thank you for designing such a great landscape plan for us, and for sending a great crew to put it in. more

Please never use this company. They don't do the work themselves, they hire contractors who may or may not do a good job. In our case, they did a very poor job. They had to redo our front stoop 3 times. And then I had to almost harass them to come and finish the job after it was done. In addition they were alternately aggressive and patronizing in the billing process (and the final total was definitely a moving target always upward). You can find cheaper and better work, done by the person you actually sign the deal with. more

Watch for the nose-in-the-air attitude. Overcharges. Estimates are a joke. more

The brick patio is in and it looks better than I expected. Kingstowne's team team did a magnificent job, so well in fact that two other neighbors asked me if they could take a closer look. This company has terrible customer service and their representatives force you into paying for service you did not approve, even after you had called to cancel. They send crews to your home despite repeated calls to their customer reps not to do so when no one is there. I finally cancelled my mowing service after their crew foreman argued with me and demanded payment for a pruning job I had cancelled. Cons: Nasty representatives more
