I have been taking my personal bichons frises and our foster bichons frises to Kingsbrook since they opened. I always feel like I get 4 for the price of one, because they all work so well together. The vet techs and front desk personnel are also A-One. They are open, and honest, give you options and spend as much time with you as your pet may need. They have always treated our foster bichons with as much TLC as they do my own personal pets. I live in Potomac and drive to Kingsbrook to take my fur-kids there. I tell people this all the time and they think I'm kidding. I'm not. Kingsbrook is by and far the best vet I have ever used. Ever. Their devotion to my lab, Sophie, was second only to my own. From the receptionists to the vet techs to the vets themselves, you are treated as family when you walk in their door. The little things are BIG things to them. I've never had an appointment with them where I haven't received a follow up call the next day just to make sure all is fine. They call and remind you of visits and work diligently to fit you in on a moment's notice if necessary. Whether it's behavioral issues or working with an aging pet, they have an incredible depth of specialization. Regrettably, I lost my wonderful lab, Sophie, four years ago, and I will always hold the staff that was in attendance that day dear in my heart for how they treated her and supported me through that incredibly rough time. They kept her happy and healthy for many years and when the time came for me to say good-bye, they gave me all the information and support I needed to make the right decision for Sophie and myself. My other pets have been treated equally as well....Kingsbrook understands that your pet is not just a pet, that it is a member of your family and as such they treat them with love and respect. My newest puppy, Murphy, will never, ever see any vet other than Kingsbrook if I have my way and I place her in their hands with absolutely no hesitation what so ever, knowing they will care for her as if she were their own. Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is the only hospital I would trust to care for our pets. We recently lost our beloved cat, Bobbie, after 19 years. The staff at Kingsbrook were compassionate and caring from beginning to end. We have 2 new additions to our family, our cats, Rondo and Chloe. I know that they are receiving the best possible care from Dr. Davis. Our seven year old Cairn Terrier, Lucy, continues to see Dr. Cook for her annual visits. He's wonderful with her, because he understands that she's a very nervous dog and that her bark is far worse than her bite! :) I would highly recommend Kingsbrook Animal Hospital to anyone who is searching for quality pet care. more

I have been taking my cats to Kingsbrook for over 10 years. The quality of service is outstanding. In fact, Dr. Davis found out that my new kitten had a heart murmur and recommended me to a specialist. My cat Joe is doing great. All of the staff are kind and caring, no question is silly. They have the best equipment. I used to live in Frederick but move 30 miles away and I still take my cats to Kingsbrook. more

I was originally referred to another Vet closer to my home in Hagerstown. Unfortunately, our newest little girl was having an issue and I felt she needed to be seen before a scheduled appointment. The vet in Hagerstown failed to help in anyway. The Frederick County animal shelter referred us to Kingsbrook. Can I just say, BEST DECISION EVER!!! The staff was so kind and attentive. Dr. Davis took lots of time with us and explained everything. I've never had an experience like the one that I've had with any other vet. They remember me when I come in even without Sophie which is a nice bonus for me. I would recommend them to anyone. I'm confident you will love them as much as I do and most importantly, appreciate the "extra" care they give to you beloved pet(s). more

Best vet I have ever been too and I used to be a vet tech when I lived in Philadelphia, so I know what goes on behind the scenes in a veterinary hospital: what is good veterinary care, and what is merely passable veterinary care. I initially selected Kingsbrook because they have the American Animal Hospital (AHA) certification. Not many animal hospitals qualify for this rating, so I knew they were good. But Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is more than good, they are excellent! I can honestly say that this hospital and this compassionate and caring staff have provided the best care that I have ever received from any veterinarian for my pets anywhere ever hands down. And I am a hard person to please! They are thorough, up on recent medical changes and take enormous amounts of time with me to explain all the options. True, they may be more expensive than your average neighborhood vet, but you do get what you pay for. I would never consider going anywhere else for my pets care. more

These people really are nice. They know me when I come in and they always listen to my concerns. I have moved around a lot over the years, so I have been to a lot of different veterinarians, but Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is the best I have been to. more

They have been our cats vet for 7 years now and they have been wonderful the whole time! Love the staff and Dr.'s. Both of our cats are rescue cats and one of them has been in more than we would like him to. But each and every time the care that he is given is amazing. We have always gotten a follow up call later in the day to see how he is doing. I have recommended them several times to friends. And will continue to do so. more

Best Vet. State of the art hospital. Licensed Techs. Continuing education. Class Act. They can be expensive but you get what you pay for, excellent care by excellent doctors and staff. If you want cheap you are taking a risk with a vet who probably has a crappy facility and hasn't updated their education since they left vet school. Worth the money any day. more

I have had pets all my life, but have never been to a place like Kingsbrook Animal Hospital. I have been going there for years and I will never go anywhere else. The difference between them and other hospitals is their people. The receptionists, technicians and doctors are some of the most caring people I know. If your pet is having a problem, they will find the answer and help you get it well. more

When I found a stray kitten last month, my friends told me that the only place to go with her was Kingsbrook Animal Hospital. They were so right. Nora, Ann and Josh helped Dr. Kim take great care of Suzie. I never thought I would want a cat and knew nothing about caring for one. They showed me everything I needed to know. I got my first pet and was looking for a vet when my cousin told me about Kingsbrook Animal Hospital. I took my bunny, Gizmo, in to see Dr. Davis for a check up. The technician took me into an exam room and asked me lots of questions about my bunny. She talked to me about Gizmo's cage and bedding, his food and toys and gave me lots of information to take home. Dr. Davis was very thorough and caring. He took alot of time with me and answered all of my questions. The information they provided for the care of my bunny was worth every penny. more

This hospital is first class from the front to the back. The doctors are up to date on the latest medical trends and they treat my dogs like family. My dog had her teeth cleaned and she had a fractured tooth. They took an x-ray of the tooth and found out it had abscessed. They numbed her tooth (just like us) before they pulled it and she came home on pain medicine to keep her comfortable while her mouth healed. The techs made sure she was clean and comfortable and kept me updated on her condition. Kylie loves to go to Kingsbrook to visit her aunties and uncles that take such good care of her. more

I came to kingsbrook when my vet that I had seen for years would not see my very sick dog,a friend told me about kingsbrook, and boy am I thankful! They got me in right away, they were all so kind and caring.I will agree they are not cheap, but the level of knowledge and caring has never been matched anywhere else I have been.I have told many people about them and none of been unhappy.When it comes to my pets, I am not a bargin shopper I want what is best for them.All I can say is the whole staff is GREAT! I will never go back to this place. They are way over priced and inexperienced. I went there to check my pet for possible ringworm. First of all, Dr. Kim performed many tests on my pet that later I found out from another vet that most of them were unnecessary. I do not know it was because she does not have any experience or they just enjoyed giving me a $500 bill. Also I was surprised to see that she did not wash her hands even once or change her lab coat after touching my pet. Did not she know that ringworm is very contagious and she could easily transmit it to her other clients? more

Honestly, I really like the staff and doctors at Kingsbrook. They are very knowledgable, friendly, and caring but their prices are ASTRONOMICAL! I never leave there without spending any less than $100 and we are just talking about annual exams/shots. The quoted us OVER $400 for a regular, run of the mill dental for our cat and that is BEFORE any extractions, if one would be necessary. THen it would be close to $1000. I am really sorry to say that we had to go elsewhere for vet care. We now go to Walkersville Vet Clinic. The quality of care there is JUST as good and the prices are way more reasonable. Our first visit for our new dog (that we pulled from Frederick County Animal Shelter with help from a rescue group) cost us $12 for the rabies shot. The exam was free as he had come from FCAC. So yeah, goodbye Kingsbrook. If you are super rich and dont mind paying an arm and a leg, then yeah, I would say go there. more

Always had tons of pet and tons of visits to the vet. Left Kingsbrook on instinct. They just don't seem as exeperienced or professional as some other vets. Noticed on their website all the docs graduated the same year from the same school. Might have something to do with it. It's just better going to a practice where the vets have had training at different schools and even in different decades. There is so much more experience and training in a place like that. Kingsbrook OK at best. more

We left Kingsbrook because we though we thought our pets were getting adequate care they seemed to be pretty steep on their prices and pushy about extra testing and stuff. Turns out we were right! Just got an estimate for a dental on our cat from our new vet that came in at LESS THAN HALF what Kinsbrook wanted to charge. I coldn't believe it (talking hundreds of dollars difference, here) and made sure each line item from the Kingsbrook estimate was also covered in this estimate and there were no surprises. Kingsbrook vets must all have vacation homes to pay for! more
