Beyond rude! My first time in the store I found the most amazing rutilated quartz and was so happy because I had been looking everywhere. I really loved their semi precious gems and thought I had found "my store". The only helpful sales person was assisting me and the woman (I believe the owner's mother) told her to stop helping me and go help someone else. I couldn't believe it, but waited because I really wanted to complete my purchase. I At the L.A. bead show I bought a gem from someone else and they recommended going to King's to have them set it in a barrel. I walked over to King's booth and they couldn't be bothered and said to come into the store and they would help me there. When I went into the store I asked the same woman from the first visit if she could help me and she just rolled her eyes. They said they didn't have what I needed which I think must be code for not wanting to help me because the owner was the one who told me they could. I needed a bunch of other supplies, but didn't want to support the store so went to Sweets a few blocks up and the sales person was beyond helpful. more

1/2 WASENT PRICED & HALF WAS THE ITEMS THAT WERE PRICED I WAS TOLD iD GET A BETTER PRICE ON. UNPRICED ITEMS i REQUETED TO BE PRICED & iD GO THROUGH THEM LATER SINCE THEY WERE CLOSING. I WENT BACK BECAUSE NOTHING MATCHED UP NOR DISCOUNTED & WAS TOLD TO COME DOWN TWICE EACH TIME THE PERSON WASENT THERE???? BUT SHOWED UP AGAIN AT CLOSE. WENT DOWN THERE THE 2ND TIME PERSON WASENT THERE & A WOMEN WITH CURLY HAIR SAID SHE DOESNT HAVE TIME TO GO OVER EVERYTHING & i HAVE TO COME BACK. I EXPLAINED i ALSREADY HAVE SPENT 4 HOURS TO DO THIS FOR THE 2ND TIME & SHE BEGAN TO YELL SAYING I CANT BELIEVE I WOULD DO THIS IN FROM OF CUSTOMERS. I SAID I ASKED FOR YOU NICLEY TO HELP & HOW COULND SHE UNDERSTAND AND HOW CAN I MAKE HER YELL-I PROCEEDED TO TELL HER ALSO SHE IS HER OWN WOMEN & SHE MADE THE CHOICE TO TREAT ME THIS WAY & YELL WHILE i HAVE BEEN CALM & COLLECTIVE. 2 CUSTOMERS TOOK ME ASIDE & SAID THEY ARE ALWAYS DOING THIS THAT THEY COULDNT BELIEVE I WAS SO NICE, THEY ARE SCAMMMERS, THEY HAVE NO ETHICS AT ALL WHEN IT COMES TO BIZ & CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY ARE ALL ABOUT, I GIVE YOU GOOD DEAL....50% off even thought the prices are marked up 500% more than the norm. they are nice when making a sale, then they sneak in prices, & yell when you ask nicely if it was a mistake but they are obviously guilty to be so defensive. Sick people with no regard to people. more

Very well thought out store. Has a wide selection of beads. Good deals. They are always it cheaper and cheaper for customers, but i do not like it cause its a little crammed and small. more

Super expensive and I felt like the people running the place were a little gypsy-like. I had 4 items and it rang up at $100+ dollars - no kidding! Needless to say, I put them back! more

king's road beads is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over priced in everything they offer. awful awful customer service, if you can call it that; if the staff is so unhappy - why don't they work elsewhere? - i always wonder. i only shop king's road when i am desperate or need something ASAP. otherwise order online or go the bead shows. save yourself the headache & humiliation. more

This is the first time I have ever written a review for a buisness.... I looked at some aqua briolettes from them (didnt buy them) and came back to look at them again with my girlfriend and the owner said to me in a nasty tone" I already showed you" I've never in my life been spoken to like that...DISGUSTING !!!! Who would ever want to do buisness with miserable people like that..... Let me also so that I co-own one of the biggest, coolest , and most happening jewelry companies around and I only do buisness with the best retailers in America...... I guess the jeans fooled them.... Two thumbs down ....My advice to all is go downtown to a reputable source... more

This shop has some nice stock that can be hard to find elsewhere. It's also conveniently located, though they are not open on Sundays. However, most of the stock is highly overpriced, and the staff can be extraordinarily nasty if you decide to put something back before you pay. They're great if you need something right away, but if you have the time to go downtown or shop online, you'll be much happier. You can get everything they offer for a lot less, with no hassle, elsewhere. more

I had a horrible experience doing business with this merchant. They had a good selection in metals, but extremely overpriced. I have been to over 30 bead stores in the past month and would consider this the worst store for customer service and value for your money. They are dishonest and are rude, insulting and aggressive with customers with questions. Beware...they will be nice during your purchase, but will be intimidating and humiliated when you exchange or question their products. I had beads thrown across the counter by the angry owner! Any reasonable customer and merchant can discuss a problem and solve it. Unfortunately this does not seem to be the case at Kings Road Beads. more

Offering fair prices for everything from precious metal findings to run of the mill glass beads, Kings Road is a great place to stock up. There is always some kind of sidewalk sale in the works, and the half-off bins lining the walls are a great place to find that elusive final touch for your project at bargain prices. more
