FORMER OWNERS HAVE REOPENED THE INN 12/26/2011

The last review here is from February 2008. Lots has happened since then. The former owners who owned it from 1979 to 2004 returned and foreclosed on the Inn and have regained their former excellent reputation. Chef Kevin Herbe has impressed everyone with his fresh ingredients, choice of portions and unique menu. Now open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner...... the great service, fair prices and great food has returned to rave reviews. Come join us. more

Good restaurant, but not as good as it once was 2/26/2008

The King George is a pretty fancy, expensive restaurant. The food is good, and is of the quality you would expect for the price. It seems to have gone downhill in recent years, though. Where it once was a superb dining experience the food is now merely great. The ambiance is good. Recommended for group bookings for birthday parties and larger events like showers. Nice plae highly overrated though, food is actually great but there is not much to choose from and its very pricey and also very exspensive Pros: good food Cons: small portion, high prices more

great food and great live music 10/12/2004

I had the scallops and lobster bisque. WOW. I have never really been to Bristol, but a friend of a friend knew the pianist. He was superb. He said he plays there every couple of weeks, and plays at a few other places. It was biker night, but still they were friendly. The pianist played everything under the sun....Alicia Keys, Motley Crue, Queen, you name it. I will DEFINITELY be back. Pros: FOOD, PIANO more

this place was wonderful...the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and filet with crabmeat and jarlsburg cheese...to die for!! Romantic atmosphere, friendly attentive service, and good prices...I will return!! more
