Kindred Hospital Tarrant County - Fort Worth Southwest

I have been to other hospitals before such as Harris and Granberry hospital. I do understand now why Kindred has so many good reviews because they are doing something different there. My doctor actually referred me, Dr. Schultz. I was admitted with the wound on my lower leg. It looked bad when I first came in but now is much better. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say my improvement is a 9. Thank you for helping me with my recovery. I wanted to give some good recommendations to a few of the stuff that they have their who performed really well. Mel who was one of my nurses is very cheerful and she likes to smile. Brightens up your day when you're feeling down. She's also very helpful when you need things. Marty who is one of the tech is another good person. Probably one of the best techs that they have. And Alex who is a nurse just helpful in multiple ways and extremely knowledgeable. The food there is also good but nothing like home cooking. My room wasn't that big as I had to share it with a roommate but I did get the window view which made it better. Thank you for all you've done and would recommend Kindred to anyone. Ralph. more

The majority of the staff are very professional and courteous. Most of them are eager to help if you need something. Dr Ferree has been very encouraging as he has provided encouragement on my recovery and very knowledgeable in his profession. Lawnda to me is a breath of fresh air and she brightens your day with a cheerful countenance. She is very knowledgeable in her profession. When I first arrived at Kindred I had MSSA and wasn't too sure exactly what it was. However Lawanda helped to do the research for me and provided me with all information to help me fully understand what exactly it was that I had. She went out of her way to help me understand fully if I had something that was contagious to my loved ones. There tech, Marcus is one of the best. He will come By your room just to check to see what you needed without even asking. Brooke from the case management team has been helpful in coordinating my transition to the next facility and thank you for your hard work. Tod the nurse has been very helpful. It's almost as if you don't have to ask Todd for anything, as he will just come to see how you are. They also have a great therapy program. Carrie, Eric and Tracy are some amazing therapist. I think they also need the recognition as well as they are outstanding people. Some of the people that actually don't get recognizes their housekeeping team. I see all of them doing a very difficult job but they work very hard to keep that hospital clean for many infections that could spread. My room was always kept clean and smelling fresh and I appreciate them for their hard work. Overall I have been very impressed with the care that I have received here and would recommend this place to any of my friends who are in need of a quality hospital facility. more

I wouldn't be in the hospital if it wasn't for Girling Home Health. They were the one that actually referred me to Kindred. But the nice thing was they sent an ambulance to pick me up and do all the transfer. Rhonda who works for Girling said that Kindred was supposed to be a good place. I was a little skeptical because I never heard of them before. And when I got there, surprisingly it was a good place. They treated me very well. The food wasn't that good but the staff that they have are great. A lady by the name of Marcy who works in the therapy team is a great person, she makes me laugh. If I do have to go to any hospital I deafly would come back to Kindred and would refer anybody. In the little town but I come from I would definitely come back. more

I was at Hugely before I came to Kindred as Hugely sent me there because I needed more rehab. I was admitted with pneumonia. The team at Kindred made it easy to fit right in making it feel somewhat warm. I feel much better now and being discharged today. I wanted to point out two nurses that were really caring and sweet. Callie who was my day nurse took very good care of me during my stay. I think that all nurses should have the same standard as Callie. A blessing in disguise. My night nurse Laura Walden is also another person that should be in the spotlight. She was a special person and very easy to communicate with. The care that she provide was also timely and prompt. I was at Eastland County Hospital and my doctor who is Dr Deluca referred me to Kindred for my pneumonia. From the minute I checked in, the staff their worked right away to get me better. The nurses are excellent and very caring. Their staff and policy at Kindred is great as they fully abide to all the HIPPA laws. The programs that they have at Kindred, has helped me out a lot, such as their physical therapy, occupational therapy and pulmonary program. The food at Kindred was good as I have been to other hospitals and theirs is one of the best. They must have a good chef. The nurses at Kindred have been very diligent and conscious of my needs and have been very accommodating to me which has made my stay much easier. And if I should get sick again, I would surely come back to Kindred. I would also referr Kindred to anyone that is looking for a good hospital to go to. I would like to give a few praises to some of their staff that has taken care of me. Richard from the PCU floor has been outstanding because he is just a perfectionist, super caring and just passionate about his job. John who works the night shift on the 2nd floor is the same way. Just passionate about his job and one of the nicest person you will meet at Kindred. Also Lamis who was my ambassador is outstanding. I could tell her anything and she would get my problems resolved right away. Thanks for looking after me. Beverly who is a nurse tech during the days is outstanding as she likes to making sure that your needs are met and ensuring that the bed was clean and also helped me with my daily needs. Wish they had more of the Beverly's' there. Emma who also works evening is the same, as she check on you constantly to ensure your needs are met. Anther person that gets good feedback from me is Mr Pat who is also passionate about his job and caring about my needs. Also thanks to Mini, Debrah Bird, Godfy, Silus, Jeff and Angie. All great people and such a great team. more

I was at Clebure hospital for about 4 days and one of the staff advised me to go to Kindred. I didn't know about Kindred but had a great experience and wanted to share my thoughts to those that plan to come. I was at Kindred for around 4 week and their team was outstanding. The 3rd floor nurses were wonderful. Some of the people that stood out were Ashley T because she helped me to get some issues resolved. The man at the front desk was really nice, I think his name was John. Another person that was sweet and caring was Jamecca who was my nurse during the night. Thank you for being so sweet! Angie also stood out in her own way as she helped me regarding me health updates and also looked after me during my stay. Thank you Josie for being another great nurse and being there for me. I hope my message gets passed down to those that I mentioned in this review. Also cudos to Eric in the house keeping department for keeping my room so clean. Its like having my mom take care of me while sick. We also listen to the same music which was nice. Almost forgot, Felix needs his cudos for being so nice and calm. Thank you Kindred. more

I wanted to give Kindred a five star because they actually deserve it. The team of nurses are great as they are kind, caring and tentative. The place is also clean and food is also good. I have gained about 6lbs since I was there. All of the nurses stool out and its hard to give1 person more praise than another. However Yidah my nurse was someone that stood out to me. If I needed to come back I would surely come back to Kindred. more

The staff was very caring while I was at Kindred Hospital. They seem to also go out of their way to make me feel as comforting as they possibly could during my stay. They do truly care about their patients. Ron Burns more

This is actually the first hospital that my mom was admitted into for a long duration. However, I can only give positive praise to Kindred Southwest and the team providing care to my mother. The Kindred facility was exceptionally clean and most importantly my mother's room. The level of care provided by the nurses and doctors was outstanding. I was astonished that my mother's doctors visited her on a daily basis. The nurses were also outstanding on the attention that my mom needed. If she pushed the call light, they were always there however, at times a little slow but we understand they also had other patients to attend to. The food at Kindred was also not bad. I really appreciated that there was no mistakes on her special food orders. Overall, big applause to the Kindred management team, nurses and doctors. If you are planning to admit your mother or family member to Kindred Southwest, you made the right choice. Regards, Jose Morales more
