A truly great place 9/16/2016

Kindred should actually deserve a five star but sometimes there are small bloopers. Everyone has been fantastic and the people there seem to really enjoy their jobs. I can't remember everybody's names but they have all been great. I would recommend Kindred to anybody. Bobbie M more

A Great Experience 9/12/2016

Thank You to Everyone 9/8/2016

It hasn't been the greatest experience to be in the hospital but Kindred has been a good experience which was quite nice. Everyone in the therapy team has been very helpful. I really appreciate all of their support and couldn't do it without them. All the staff in the therapy team are great therapist as they keep you motivated and watch you through the progress of your development. I surely would recommend anyone to Kindred Even my family members. PJ who is a tech there is one of my favorite techs. She has supported me in so many ways. Thank you PJ. more

A Good Experience Worth Sharing 9/7/2016

Baylor medical center in Fort Worth referred me to Kindred. They provided me a list of other hospitals to choose from but my family an I decided to go to Kindred. We really didn't know too much about Kindred as we never really heard of them and was kind of skeptical. I am used to larger name hospitals as most of us are. When I arrive at the facility, the team was different than what I expected. When I first met my Physician, Dr Adamo I was very please with his introduction and his ability to look at my past diagnosis and determine what was best for my recovery. I felt very comfortable with him being my doctor and his constant visits and updated information. He visits me every morning and talks to me about my condition and the progress or if I declined in some areas or if I am approved in other areas. Thank you Dr. Adamo. If he had a office outside of the hospital I surely would be one of his patients there. Denise who is one of the night nurses is outstanding, she's on top of everything and she has just been there for me when needed. She goes beyond her call of duty as a standard nurse. She has just been very caring and loving with not only me but I assume other patients as well. I had other nurses who took care of me both day and the night who have been outstanding as well, but I just can't recall their names, but they also do deserve their recognition. Marcos is one of their BEST. Even if he scheduled on another floor and not on the floor that I was on, he still comes down to make a visit and just to say hello and see how we're doing. My dialysis staff has also been another outstanding team. Carolyn Jones and Eileen Tennyson have been great with performing the dialysis. They know exactly what they're doing and how to perform their duties to the best. If any patients who are at the hospital considering dialysis I definitely would suggest Kindred. more

A great experience 8/26/2016

I'm going to give credit where credit is due. I have been tired all the time, sleeping through the day and depressed. I was pretty much housebound and couldn't walk because I couldn't catch my breath. I was on oxygen 24/7. I was under so much stress that it was close to the final drawl. So I went to see my general practitioner at his office Dr Bishop and ask for a different pulmonologist. So he referred me to Dr. Boddie which he later referred me to Kindred. Everybody all the hospital from the nursing, administration, therapy team, housekeeping team and the dietary team were very positive and wanted to help in every way possible. They never made me feel like I was being a bother but getting me better was their main objective. I would like to give credit to particular individuals however I would feel that I am leaving others out who also deserve credit as I cannot remember all their names. I did have one roommate for about the 1/2 hours and than they moved her to another room which made it very pleasant for me as I didn't have to share my private space. The room isn't too shabby but sometimes a little bit cold. I do wish I could turn back time about two years back and know of a hospital such as this place. Thank you to the pulmonary and respiratory team for having such a great program. I would surely recommend anybody to come to kindred if you're considering. more

My Review 8/24/2016

The therapy team was excellent as they stayed on task with everyone. They made everyone feel special and made sure everyone got the attention they needed. When the cleaning crew came to my room, I did not have to worry that they would interrupt my guest or leave a mess when they left. They worked quickly and efficiently. Food was good but could be better. Got lots of fresh fruits, grapes, strawberries and oranges. The breakfast was good as well, with a wide variety. more

A Great Hospital 8/10/2016

It's been a long process in and out of the hospital. Here at Kindred Southwest has been one of the greatest Hospital experiences; the staff took really good care of me day and night. Pamela (PJ) and Beverly were amazing Techs and never missed a beat. Dr. Adamo was a fantastic doctor with excellence bedside mannerism, and communicated very well my plan of care here. The HBO team was Amazing, I never would have imagined an experience of healing so great. From the wound care team, dietary, nursing, Susan my CM, and even house keeping (EVS) did an excellent job. I would recommend this hospital to everyone and anyone. Thank you KSW for all you have done for me! Best wishes T. Land more

To Tracy 8/4/2016

Thank you Tracy for leading a great pulmonary program. You and Kim have done a great job. I definitely have taken away a lot of knowledge and you both have worked me. Hope I don't have to come back but if I do I know where to come. more

Yes it's a good hospital 8/3/2016

Some people might not think of Kindred when it comes to hospitals but I can tell you is one of the best facilities. Thank you to all the doctors and staff for all you have done and keep up the good work. Sharon Jaggers more

Graduation from Kindred 8/2/2016

I,ve been coming to the outpatient pulmonary program for around 18 weeks. Today is my final graduation! I feel that the program was very beneficial. I would like to point out that I thought Tracy organizing the program pooled great leverage on my development. She was excelled at the consulting aspect of the program. I've got more energy now and I can walk further. I think its part group learning process and each team member motivating one another and Tracy urging us to do our best. Thomas P. more

Thank You Everyone 7/29/2016

Thank you to all the staff at kindred as you have all been great. more

It's one of the best. 7/28/2016

Since the day my husband was admitted into Kindred, he has had nothing but top-notch care. He was on a ventilator, and a trake while not being able to move at all. His also couldn't even say his own name. Less than two weeks while being at Kindred, they were able to remove his trake. The doctors at Weatherford Regional said he wouldn't be able to survive which was on May 5th, 2016. Now he is soon to be discharged home. All the nurses , doctors and physical therapy have gone above and beyond . I really wouldn't like to recommend anybody to the hospital but I would recommend Kindred. I just want everyone to know how much what you guys have done and there is no better way to do it, then with the review. Linda Weed more

Impressed 7/27/2016

Im giving them a 5 star because they all have been very kind and respectful to me. The food is good but the potato could use some work. This is my first time here and it's not what I expected when I first arrived. Job well done for impressing me. Gloria Headrick more

Great outpatient service 7/19/2016

I used to be a patient at Kindred but now I'm coming back as an outpatient for their hyperbaric chamber. They have two staff that I wanted to give a five star review. Robert and Walkena are two of the greatest staff that I see working at that hospital. They really help to lift up my spirits when I feel down and out. Thank you for all you've done and thank you for lifting me up when I was down. Ronald Whitfield more

One of the best therapy programs 7/18/2016

I was actually referred to kindred by a clinical liaison who visited me out at Regency Hospital. They spoke to my son about the facility which we really did know too much about. We were informed that Kindred was a rehab hospital which was a major factor in coming to Kindred. I was impressed on the first day that I arrived. Their rehab program here is outstanding and considered one of the best, and top-notch. Rebecca who is one of their therapist really impressed me on her practices and her technique and total skills combined including her knowledge. She really worked me out during my time at the hospital. When I first started I was only able to walk about 50 steps. The second day I walked over 300 steps which is something I haven't done in a long time. She re-introduced me to some of my old technique that I haven't used in a long time so it's kind of like a restarting process of learning something new. I appreciate all that she did for me. I definitely would recommend anybody who is in need of therapy to come to Kindred as I believe they will be able to help as they have helped me. Harold Wheeler more

Four stars out of five 7/14/2016

It's my fourth visit since January of this year. For the most part everybody is great, the staff works well with me, and the dietitian has been great with my allergies. They do their best to make me comfortable, with the exception of one ICU nurse who was reluctant to listen to my complaints about my IV which clotted and close the blood clot in my arm. I would come back and I'm not going to let that experience ruin everybody else's hard work. Tammy Hensley more

Everyone deserves a five star 7/13/2016

Everyone at kindred deserves a five star and not one individual stood out more than the other. A great place to come to for healthcare.. The staff is terrific and would recommend kindred to any family or friends. Cleatus McKenzie more

I feel better 7/12/2016

It's always nice when you're able to give a good review to a place that was able to make me feel better. I have been to Kindred before so when I got sick again I decided to come back to Kindred because I know the place and I know that they will take care of me. Dr. Ferree Who is my doctor has been great. Thank you to the entire staff and doctors for all that you have done. Keep up the good work. more

Outpatient Pulmonary Program 7/6/2016

It has been a great experience here at Kindred as an outpatient for the pulmonary program. I was referred by my doctor to go and see Tracy and she came in highly recommend it for the pulmonary program that they have. I have been coming to see Tracy for around three months but three times a week. What I have is COPD which is noncurable however Tracy has taught me how to live with what I have and to make the most out of my daily life. She has taught me multiple breathing techniques which has helped me in my daily activities of getting around the house or going outside. I really like that she is very open to communication and has unique ways of explaining things. Today I am coughing much less and with less mucus. So greatful for the less coughing... What I will take home with me and will remember is the breathing techniques that allows me to control my breathing. I would surely recommend anyone with the condition such as mine, to go and see Tracy and would recommend Kindred to any family or friends. Gil more
