Kindred Hospital Mansfield

My sister has been at Kindred Mansfield for almost 3 weeks now and we have had a very good experience. A majority of the staff are extremely friendly, compassionate and professional. There are some excellent nurses here and the wound care team is exceptional! Heather, Julie, Willa, Hazel and Sharon, one of the patient advocates, are just some of the exceptional staff. The facility is very clean and ALL of the staff (nurses, PT, nurses aids, and office staff) have all been very kind and helpful. This is a small facility and they really take their time and get to know their patients. more

We have been to Harris amd Bayler hospitals and Kindred #1. Respiratory Therapy is very good especially Katrina. PT has my mom sitting up on side of bed. This is the cleanest hospital we've seen. Thanks oh by the way they give good baths and good hair wash. Thank you thank you. more

I've been coming to this hospital since 2011. I'm having outpatient wound care at this time. Kindred is like a second home. It's great to be greeted when I come for therapy by familiar faces. Today my ambassador Sharon from my last inpatient visit greeted me & gave me a hug.Dr. Nguyen is a very good doc & Heather is very gentle. My sister has been in ICU for a while now. There have been ups & downs but overall this hospital genuinely cares. Therapy has been good and therapists are encourag-ing. Thanks to everyone. more

I've been a patient for about a week.The PT department is a very caring group of people. The dietician is very knowledgeable and her staff make sure I have what is needed. Kindred kitchen staff very good. The cleaning staff are well trained. John, carol, Jody and Laura PT so caring. Hellen is a very caring nurse. Wound care is the best and Heather is wonderful. After suffering a fall, fracturing her pelvis, and needing wound care for a severely infected cut on her arm, (after spending 2 weeks at Baylor/Waxahachie) my 83 year old mom has been at Kindred Mansfield for the past 2+ weeks. Her nurses, like Sedenia, the nurse managers like TJ, Seliah, Joan and Maria have been awesome! They look after her like she is their grandma. Her tech-Willa, treats her like family! Willa always makes sure my mom has what she needs! Willa treats my mom with respect! They talk and laugh together. There will always be issues when your family is hospitalized... emotions are high and you often feel like the staff doesn't know your family like you do.... the majority of the staff at Kindred makes the effort to know the patient and to take care of them like they would their own grandmother! My mom is getting better and is scheduled to come home in 2 weeks. Thanks to Heather, Katy and Nergis in wound care, the arm infection has started to heal. They were so gentle and caring!!! And thanks to Jodie/PT at Kindred, she has regained some mobility.... Jodie has worked with mom to help regain her strength and mobility and we couldn't be more grateful! Long term care for your loved one is scary. But if you stay connected and visit and talk to the staff, it can be a lot less scary. more

After a somewhat rocky start things improved greatly once my ambasador Sharon got involved. Nursing care improved so much. The nurse mgr TJ and Sharon are an awesome pair and work together well. Case managers Phaedra and Linda are so awesome too. Maria and Joyce are also stand outs. Thank you Marcus and Jay are also wonderful. PT crew have a great energy. When my mom comes in all staff are friendly. Thank you to all so much. more
