Kindred Hospital Houston Medical Center

I have been here for 3 months and the care has been excellent. So many have went above and beyond what I would've expected. My room along with Nancy the patient advocate were very accommodating. My nurse Nils would explain everything, the medications and procedures. He always took his time with me. Steven obina was excellent. Zach from the kitchen was very sweet. Francis the nurse was also very caring and could make me laugh. The staff overall was excellent. Emma is also a very special nurse, she has been very good in my care. I am very grateful for all the care and help I received at Kindred. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone. The wound care team is wonderful. Linda Brown more

My daughter has been a patient here for 6 weeks and she has gotten the best care. The nurses have been so nice, they take their time when in her room. They always answer our questions and they respond quick when we call. The respiratory therapist are all very good at their job. They have been very professional and caring in their duties. The nurses and all of the people who work here have been very nice and caring. My husband will tranfer out soon and we are very greatful to all of the people who helped care for him. We've been here for 2 months after a deep and lengthy abdominal wound. The care here has been excellent. Dr. Maus has been great. The wound is healing wonderfully. The wound care team is very professional they are meticulous and skilled. Linda on the wound care team was determined to get this wound healed. She was encouraging and diligent in the care. I've been totally satisfied with the care here. I've gotten everything I've requested to assist in my husbands care. He has always been clean and well cared for when I come to visit. My husband had a double lung transplant at Methodist and was then transferred to Kindred hospital. Staff is great and enviroment is great. Physical therapist Lindsey and Jabore are the greatest as well as Matrice and Leticia. Overall all the staff is very helpful. more

I've been here about a month and when I got here I was pleasantly surprised. When I first got here I was very sick but the next day I woke up feeling better and I've continued to improve since I've been here. I feel that everyone here really cares how I'm doing. The nusres, PCAs, the kitchen staff and even housekeeping services have been very helpful. I was so happily surprised that now I don't want to leave. Some employees really have went above and beyond to make my stay as easy as possible. The shining stars were Tonya, Petra, and Stven the PCAs and Nurses Romeo, Michelle, Leah, Laly, and Tabitha. During the stay here we had and excellent care team. Romeo is the most qualified nurse I've ever encountered. He is extremely caring and takes a personal interest in his patients. He makes you feel safe and at ease even during the rough times. Lindsey from PT is an excellent therapist. She is compassionate and drives her patients to do their very best. We will miss seeing her. And Joel from the out of bed team does an excellent job of getting you in and out of the bed with as little pain as possible. He has a great attitude and is willing to listen to your woes. T. I appreciate how everyone here has made me feel special. All of my needs have been met with professionalism and caring nature from all of the employees. My case manager Bonnie has been amazing, she has went well beyond my expectations and has helped me out with anything i have mentioned to her. I would recommend Kindred to anybody. Ever since I've been here everyone has been so professional and caring. I get my medications on time. Most of the people have want above and beyond their job duties to make sure I'm getting what I need and to make sure the doctors orders are carried out. Romeo and Jasmine have been very thoughtful and helpful, and I'd would like to give them a special thank you.Leticia has been extremely helpful. The PT and RT teams have been great. We heard nothing but good reviews regarding Kindred Hospital before we came, and once we were here, we came to understand why......the staff has been excellent!!! When you have staff who actually cares about their patients and loves what they are doing to help promote healing, it really shows and we have appreciated all that was done. Our mom's words were , "They all have been precious". We want to name a few that are rated as a "5 star" in our book and they are as follows: Case worker/ Jo Beth.......RN'S/Cheryl, Emma, Taiwo, Tabitha, .....CNA'S/Ty, Eartha, Ajsa.....Respiratory/Yemi........Rehab/Allen, Joel......PT/Anu, Marlin. We also enjoyed the food and the prices in the cafe, our hats off to the chief's.... and those cookies in the front lobby are absolutely to wonderful. We, the family, have come to understand that has our mother heals from her stroke/seizures, that her healing will be a long process and we have seen much progress! We also understand that different facilities will play a part in the healing process as you all have done....now we must move on to the next phase of her continue healing,....The Medial Resort of Sugar Land. Again the family of Evelyn Walton recognizes your facility, the doctors, and the staff you employ....thank you from the bottom of our hearts. more

Nursing care RN's and CNA's Romeo, Tonya Jones, Jasmin, Lenny Morales (who came by on her lunch break to do my makeup), Felix, and the respiratory team members Bill Shahin, JE, Tamika Dickerson all provided exceptional care. My Dad spent a few weeks here and my mom wouldn't leave his side. They both told me the care was very good. Each time I visited the nurses were very nice and would answer all my questions. One of them told me she worried that my mom wasn't eating well, my mom wasn't even the patient. It made me feel comfortable to think that they were looking out for her too. My husband was here for a short time and we were very happy with services we received. The doctors were great. The nurses were all friendly and professional. The therapist here were just amazing.
