When I travel, I tend towards local cuisine and cuisine I've never tried before. Today was my first for Vietnamese. So considering that I have nothing to compare to, I'll say that it's very good. It's also very unique, not really comparing \r
with anything else I've every tried. \r
\r
Upon the recommendation of friends, I tried Beef Pho which was served very fresh, very hot, very flavorful, and with what was to me a unique combination of accompaniments (but what I think is actually traditional): bean sprouts, fresh \r
basil, jalapenos and lime wedges on the side.\r
\r
Following the lead of my lunch companions, and in order, I proceeded to \r
1) push the beef deeper into the noodles to finish cooking, 2) rip up the fresh basil into small pieces and stir in, 3) add the jalapeno slices so they could cook, and 4) squeeze a lime wedge and drop it in.\r
\r
There are a variety of sauces at the table to add. I'd advise trying the Pho first, test each of the sauces, and then add (if necessary) as your taste buds dictate. You'll find a combination that's perfect for you. \r
\r
Great service, fresh/hot/traditional food, and a warm inviting atmosphere. I'll be going back to try other items on the menu.\r
