Kiggins A Family Theater 5/31/2009

I have been going to Kiggins for approx. 26 years and during the past few years Kiggins has undergone some major changes. One of which is ownership and staff. They accomodate so many different types of people what might sound rude to you may not to someone else. They post very clearly on days they have matinees for familys and when the schedule changes (for whatever reason) they try to notify people asap. Kiggins is, in my opinion a much better place to see a movie-- no long forever type lines and second run or not it fits the budget ALOT better in this economy. Tickets: Single movie $3/Double$5 and in Spring and fall family matinees 8movies $10. They have combo packs for pop/popcorn as low as $3.50 and a refillable for $17.00. They are also located in the middle of downtown so you can ride the bus OR drive. Pros: Less expensive more

Go If You're Bored, Not For The Experience 8/13/2008

Kiggins is a good theater if you haven't seen the two movies they're showing, and you don't have much money on you. The theater is old and the seats are all at one level, so if someone tall or wearing a hat sits anywhere in front of you, you're screwed. Also, the last time I went there, a very rude employee asked me what movie I was seeing (not sure if that was supposed to be sarcasm or not, considering they only play ONE double-feature), then when I told her, she said, ""This theater isn't open to the public today."" If you're going to make your theater private, you should put up a sign or something. I will never go back after that rude experience. Pros: Cheap, good if you missed the two movies they're playing Cons: Rude employees, will randomly ""not be open to the public"" without warning more
