We've been members of the Discovery Place for 2 years now and it never gets boring. They have a kids place for younger children between the ages of 12 months to 6 years. It has a water table where they can dam up the water to hold back water and then flood the remaining table. Nature areas for them to crawl through, a barn to teach animal sounds, a "fossil" area to make and tons more JUST in the kids play area. Then there are the exhibit halls with a weather area showing how tornadoes are made, a gem and mineral area, an aquarium area with a touch pool, a rain forest with tropical birds and tortoises. That's just on the first floor. The second floor is the science floor, teaching kids how magnets work, levers, axles. They also have that floor the human body and it's organs. And every few months they have a new huge exhibit. Right now the exhibit it Grossology which teaches about the not so pleasant things the body does. A few months ago it was If These Walls Could Talk, which was about building structures. Before that it was the Dinosaur exhibit etc. There's a gift shop and snack area. Downstairs is an eating establishment. You can't go wrong at the Discovery Place.
