Editorial review from Citysearch 7/8/2013

I dont know why this place has the rating it does. The service is nothing spectacular and you have to give your credit card to hold appointments!? Old carpet and paint with a few dimly lit flameless candles line the hallways and by the end of your visit they shove an armfull of products at you at checkout that they insist you need. I have been to better spas in town. more

Ki Spa is amazing!! 12/13/2010

The first time I went was for a "spa party" and I have been nack several times since then. The therapists are amazing and the atmosphere is relaxing. more

Exactly What I Needed 4/13/2010

I have been to many spas around the country and I have to say this was one of the best experiences I have had. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff was extremely welcoming. I had a Radiant Peel facial and my skin felt incredible. I also had a pedicure with a 30 minute reflexology session and it was heaven. I asked her about different pressure points on my feet and she answered without hesitation. I'm certainly impressed and will return. Thank you! Ashly more

Didn't get what I paid to receive 1/23/2010

It's possible that I didn't get what I paid for simply because the manicurist was distracted the day I had my spa day, however, when I told the receptionist of my experience my hopes of turning around the disappointment were denied. I politely explained the following to the spa. I had received a $200 gift certificate for a stone pedicure (1hr), Ki manicure (.5hr), and age defy facial (1.5hours). In her distraction, the manicurist left me with my feet soaking in warm water and stones (the only contact I had with stones) until the water was cold. When she reappeared she proceeded to rush through the massage portion of my promised 1 hour pedicure. The manicure was no better. My cuticles are only slightly more conditioned (forgot to put cuticle oil on one hand) and neglected to remove my driving calluses. When that portion of my pampering was complete, she forgot to separate my toes so that the polish would be preserved and had to touch up my toenails. The manicurist was sweet to provide me with a snack from her purse because she knew that I was hungry and they had no fruit or snack of any kind to provide me while I was there through the lunch hours. I appreciated her concern. The true 5-star spas I have routinely visited in the past provided fruit, at the bare minimum, for their clientele. My facial was nice and I liked the products, although I only had one side of my face steamed and it ended 10 minutes early. I simply wanted to get what was promised and what we paid for, but when I called to speak with a manager, who was unavailable, I was told that they were sorry about my disappointment and would simply give me a "buff and shine" worth $20. Frankly, that was insulting. My services were 20 minutes short and their offer of a $20 credit hardly replaces the $60 stone pedicure (minus the hot stones), an incomplete manicure and a short and incomplete age delay facial ($115). I was hoping that I had found a new spa to replace the wonderful spas I had been accustomed to before I moved here. I won't be back even for the free "buff and shine". The lack of management concern sealed that deal for me. more

Best in Wilmington 7/24/2009

I am originally from New York City and I moved to Wilmington last year. Before I move down I always got a facial once a month and the Jurlique Spa on West Broadway. I heard that Ki Spa used Jurlique organic products and I went to check it out. So Surprised! Great atmosphere, awesome staff, perfect facial. I will be back! Thank You. more

Wonderful, relaxing experience 1/6/2009

I have been to Ki twice now and have had a facial, massage, and pedicure. I must say the pedicure was the best I have ever had in a spa. Instead of sitting up on a chair in a row using recycled water, I was in a private room in a heated chair that reclined back so that I almost fell asleep during the treatment.\r \r This spa is decorated beautifully with dim lighting, relaxing music, and a calm, well trained staff. The hot stones used at the end of my latest massage were incredible - next time I go back I'm going to be asking for a hot stone massage! This spa is a true place of escape. more

Very Luxurious 1/4/2009

My husband got me a "day-at-the-spa" package for my birthday. It included a manicure, pedicure, and massage. The spa is decorated very luxuriously. It's very soothing and relaxing. I felt pampered and appreciated. Everyone was so wonderful. I can't wait to go back. more

Very caring staff 5/24/2007

A wonderfully relaxing experience that was long overdue! The staff was caring, addressed my needs and suggested products based on my concerns. At a few of the spas that I have been to, you feel that the staff is pushing certain products based on what will earn them the biggest commissions and this is definitely not one of those places! Ki is a great local day spa, with an ample list of services and if the rest of the services are anything like the Ki massage and the Ki facial that I experienced, they are nicely priced for what you get more
