As with many, Khow Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in Boulder. The food is always great. Service is great. The condiments in the restaurant are the best. I always recommend the hot peppers in the fish sauce. And, by the way, Thai Hot is Hot! more

My wife is from Thailand and a Thai chef. Having said that I know my Thai food and the food was awesome. My wife is almost impossibe to please when it comes to Thai food in America and even she loved it. Now the bad news the service was rude and painfully slow. Also the guys talking about the wide noodle or pad se ewee was correct this is not a place for noodles but the duck and fish cakes were to die for!!! Pros: Duck Cons: Rude little server more

My partner and I had just moved to Boulder from Berkeley and this was the first Thai place we tried (it was open on Memorial Day). The first thing I noticed were sticky, dirty tables. I spread out my napkin on the table so it wouldn't get on me. I ordered ""#29 (OK this website doesn't like the real spelling but I had ""pad key mow"" and my partner ordered ""#27 Pad See-ewe"". The noodles were not normal Thai wide rice noodles but reminded me of Italian linguine egg noodles, if you can picture it. The taste and texture were really awful. I was only able to eat 3 bites before I had to stop. Unless you have a stomach of steel, I do NOT recommend this dish. This was the worst Thai food I have ever tasted. My partner, who usually demolishes ""Pad See-ewe"" in Berkeley, only ate about half of it and the rest was thrown out. This place apparently has won best Thai food in Boulder for years. One could assume this is due to its proximity to the University (we found similar award-winning trends in Berkeley). If not, then I will NOT be eating Thai food in Boulder. If this is the best this city has to offer, I'll pass on it altogether!\r \r The waiter was prompt but did not know specifics about the menu, nor was he aware of the student discount advertised via a huge banner on the front of the building. It took us an extra 25 minutes to pay because of this confusion, and he had to change our check twice.\r \r I don't recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly won't be returning ever again. I have been here a couple times. The curry is decent, the Pad Thai very bland. I actually found the food to be rather expensive compared to what I can get in NYC. The wait staff seemed to be confused both times I went...waited a long time for our check, didn't get the extra plate we asked for... The thai iced tea had more cream and sugar than tea!! The atmosphere is ok...very casual. I would recommend getting the green curry for TAKE-OUT. Pros: Decent Curry dishes Cons: over-priced, confused waiters, other food is not very tasty more

I have been eating here for a while now. Really, I love the food. It is the closest I have come to what it was like in Thailand. Granted, this is a place where you dine and dash. Not a lot of just hanging out. But, at lunch I was given an eggroll and tofu soup with my meal. I had the Pad Prik King with Chicken and Veggies. It was awsome. I had a choice of Mild, Medium, American Hot, or Thai Hot. Thai Hot just about made my mouth melt. Washed it all down with Thai Coffee.\r \r Khow Thai recently opened a new place in Broomfield. It is a total date place. Very cool. You wouldn't know it from the outside. There is a huge bronze elephant fountain and a rad coffee bar that looks like either a beach hut or a temple... I'm not sure.\r The menu is similar to Boulders location, but with more choices. I had the BBQ chicken. I think it may have been a whole chicken. IT ROCKED!!\r \r I will be back again and again.\r \r One thing I didn't care for was the hours. They close between lunch and dinner at both locations and I find that I wanted to have dinner at 4:30pm and had to wait until later.\r Pros: Great Parking, Good Service (Better in Broomfield), Awsome Food, Broomfield is romantic, Boulder is fast paced Cons: Closes from 3 to 5 more

The decor & ambiance here will remind you of a fast food establishment. There are a few tables and many come here for the take-out. You are served a small bowl of tasty tofu soup as soon as you are seated. The menu features many Thai standards, nothing too adventurous. We started with the spring rolls with shrimp (they were okay), and the Chicken Satay (best with lots of peanut sauce). For our entrees we tried the Shrimp in Green Curry (pretty good) and the only duck option on the menu in red curry and basil (good, but a little too much pineapple). No alcohol is served here so you'll have to wash it down with water, soda, or juice. Good parking. This is more of a lunch spot than for dinner.
