Best

Great place to refuel after a hike! The food is delicious and the service is always phenomenal. Their Pad Thai is the best I've ever had.

Worst

I didn't like this so much because it's kind of too greasy for me.:(

Best Thai in the Mid-West 12/26/2009

Khow Thai consistently offers the best Thai food around. Owners Larry and Toi give the place a local flavor and it's an easy option for take away. Frankly said, I'd put this place against any in the mid-west. I strongly recommend the Pad Ma Kour & Pad Khing for those that want strong flavors. The option for brown rice gives patrons a healthy option and the free soup is always a welcomed bonus. A easy measure of a great Thai restaurant is a curry dish that doesn't have coconut milk -- go for the Gaeng Paa (jungle) curry if you want to test my theory. One word of warning -- be careful of the Thai hot option as it's seriously fire hot, even for someone that prides themselves on loving heat. After traveling the world, I'd still put Khow Thai in the top 2 Thai restaurants I've ever dined with....top 2 of more than 500. Enjoy! more

Damn Good Thai Food 2/2/2007

Khow Thai delivers good food in ample portions. The casual setting allows for either dining in or take out. I have found every dish to be quite tasty and I also really, really enjoyed the homemade coconut ice cream surrounded by mini pieces of deep fried banana. Price range is about $10 per entrée and each meal comes with a small soup. Consistently a good place to eat. more

Best Place for a quick meal 9/15/2006

This is by far my most favorite place for a quick meal, lunch or dinner. The food has always been outstanding, the service prompt, and the price is right. I recommend the Supparod, a mix of cashews, pineapple, your choice of protein, rice, raisins and onions. The only minus is the lack of spirits, but this never seems to lessen my hankering for a good Thai meal. The digs are small, so if you have a big party this might not be the best place to hold that retirement party or rehearsal dinner. If you are looking for a low key date place or a casual evening away from the crowds on Pearl, then definitely pull up a chair. more

Mmmm! Delicious 12/14/2005

We seem to order Thai from Khow Thai at least once or twice a month. It's the kind of place where the menu items are plentiful, but the food is so good that you are always tempted to order what you had last time. Note, I've always ordered take-out from Khow Thai, so I can't quite vouch for the eat-in experience. But for takeout, it's truly one of the best options in Boulder. I've had several dishes, including the Red Chicken Curry, Green Chicken Curry, and Pad Thai. All are Excellent. Enjoy! more

Khow Thai Cafe 8/15/2005

Khow Thai Café has the right combination of hipness, affordability, and great food that just might work in a location that has previously been unsuccessful for other establishments. Despite the lack of visibility and parking, it is quickly gaining a huge word of mouth following. Try the red curry – with just the right amount of coconut, it’s incredible. more
