Kevin Shaw Plumbing has been extremely reliable for us. We found them in the yellow pages, and they have helped me with numerous problems since we owned the house, beginning about 10 years ago. Most recently they put in a new water heater. They are a good, solid company. They are the first people we call, and they are able to fix whatever problems we have. They have extremely high quality and long lasting work. If they are not the cheapest, they are the absolute best. When I have recommended them a friend has told me he could get the job done less expensively, but the integrity, honesty, and quality of Kevin Shaw Plumbing makes them the people I want working in my home. more

We just had Kevin Shaw Plumbing install a new heating system in our home. They had promised us that the system they were installing would heat our house evenly both the upstairs and downstairs. They came through as promised. I can say, that after 2 weeks we are thrilled. With our old system, the upstairs would be 15 to 20 degrees hotter than downstairs. Now there is barely a 2 degrees difference. It is so nice to be able to walk around the house and have the temperature be comfortable all over. I after reading most of the reviews, I thought I would give them a try. The lady who answered the phone is very pleasant. Listened to my problem and promised a plumber within 2 hours. Jeff calls me in about 45 minutes and says he will be to my house in 15 minutes. So they 2 hours turns into 1. He comes to the door and asked me if parking his truck parking his in front of our house is OK? He then laid down a carpet mat on my front porch and put on red cloth booties on his shoes. We then proceed to the bathroom where my problem toilet was. He took a look and in a few minutes time figured out what the problem was. He then asked to look at the other toilets in the house to make sure they were working properly. I was a little concerned about what he might find, but it all worked our OK. He told me what the cost to make the repair was and explained the company guarantees. I didn't realize that they were going to warranty a toiler repair for 1 year. The last plumber guaranteed his work 30 day. After he was done, he gave me some information about the company and offered to do a safety check of our water heater. He said that who ever installed the hot water heater did a good job and found it in good condition. The price was a little more than I hoped, but at 60years old, I have learned that nothing of value is cheap. I am glad that I read most of the reviews and did not get caught up in the few negative ones. Pros: They show up and do what they say, and was neat more

Their service was prompt, they went above and beyond the scope of the original work due to issues they found. The technician was extremely neat and clean - cleaning up the counter and replacing towels on the counter in the bathroom in which they worked. Who ever thought a plumber would work like that! more

Kevin went above and beyond to take care of a last minute service call in the city of Glendora. He showed up personally and was able to give my client, the property owner a level of service that was truly appreciated. more

If I had to only use 3 words to describe "Kevin Shaw" Plumbing I would be limiting myself. When our main sewer line backed up on a Sunday, I thought we were in major trouble. I phoned Kevin Shaw Plumbing and his service personal (plumber) came to our rescue immediately. Their service is outstanding, professional and reasonable. It is always a little intimidating to have a project that may cost more than you want it to, but the VALUE of the service received is the most important part of the job. I couldn't have gotten a more conscentious, hardworking serviceman to fix my problem. He was very thorough, explained what he was having to do, didn't take a break and was here for about 4-1/2 hours. He had to dismantle the toilet, dig a hole in front yard and cut some bushes to get to the area. When he was done everything was cleaned up and would not have known what a mess it had been. more

I have used Kevin Shaw Plumbing Service on several occasions. I have always found them prompt to arrive, to accurately diagnose any problems, and make quality repairs. I was kept informed during the process of any issues that might occur. Most important of all, they never had to be called back to re-do or fix anything that wasn't done right the first time. more

I have nothing but good to say of Kevin Shaw Plumbing. When my old plumber retired I didn't know where to go. However, I had always passed by Kevin Shaw Plumbing and liked the cute commercials they have, and that made me try them out. I don't call anyone else anymore. I normally have Anthony and he always does a marvelous job for me. He is neat, clean, and very thorough. He is also good at explaining the problems to me, as well as the best way to solve them. I have a home that was built in 1957, and Kevin Shaw Plumbing has been out here several times to work on it. When they come out to do something, they only have to come out once. They replaced the piping system for the house, and it works great. When other contractors come into the house, they always comment on the workmanship of the plumbing and ask me who I use. It's easy to tell that Kevin is a real craftsman. It's their personnel that make Kevin Shaw's Plumbing so professional. They are so caring and concerned about my house when they come over. They always wear booties inside the house, and lay a towel down before they put tools on the floor. My house is treated almost as if it is a museum. They are always clean. My wife called to inquire about getting a quote for some sewer work we need. We need to redo our entire sewer line and connect to the city sewer system. The lady that answered the phone was pleasant enough, but then she transferred us directly to Kevin. From the second he answered, he had a terrible attitude and was very rude. His stern ""hello"" made us feel that we were ""bothering"" him and seemed to suggest a ""what the he*** do you want"" attitude. That was the first sign of how he does business, we saw. The second ""bad sign"" was when we explained to him that we wanted to get a quote for connecting our sewer to the city. His immediate response, before we could even finish our description, was ""there is a $195 consultation fee, and then an additional design fee."" My first thought was, ""Wow, this guy really doesn't care about getting business or meeting his customers needs, and doesn't even seem to want to understand his customers needs."" So, needless to say, we proceeded to thank him and before we could hang up, he quipped, ""What!, ... did you expect a free estimate!"" We didn't have time to respond, but, ""Kevin, I expect a pleasant attitude, respect, a trustworthy professional, knowledgeable understanding ear, reasonable fees, and then maybe I'll see if you can EARN my business. And yes, a free estimate would be appreciated, unless you feel that you need to make all your money from your estimates because few people call you back to actually have YOU do the work, due to your exorbitant fees and terrible attitude!"" I am also surprised that they obviously feel they don't need the business, while many people are ""starving"" for work. I have many experiences with other construction contractors, and I can only say, that I feel fortunate to be able to avoid future unpleasantness with this company, since this type of experience typically reveals only a small portion of how they do business. Don't support business' that do business this way. We had the totally opposite experience earlier in the day, when we called up a sewer contractor to get a quote. The guy was very pleasant, immediately offered to come out and look at the project and offer us a quote. He came in 2 hours, looked around, explained the additional information he needed in order to provide an accurate quote, we went immediately to the city to get the info, then back to the property, and said he wanted to come back tomorrow, to double check the elevation of where the sewer line would go, in order to be accurate with his estimate and not have any hidden surprises. How refreshing was that! If his estimate is anywhere close to reasonable, he is the one getting my business, for this project and any future one, as well. If you read all the reviews about this company, you can feel that the only ""real"" ones are the negative ones. Anyway, save your money or give to a productive charity or other cause, instead of this guy. Pros: The only pro was that he repelled us from using him.
