Yummmmm 4/9/2009

Really great wait service. I recommend you make a reservation. Another one on Sunset I always drive by and see and had to try. Pros: Great service, tasty food, decent prices Cons: Parking a little hassle more

Fabulous!!! 2/27/2009

I ate at Ketchup while on vacation after hearing about it from a friend. I'll admit, I wasn't expecting it to be THIS good. The food was delicious! I had the Shake n Bake (pistachio-crusted chicken). It was amazing! My friend got the scallops and loved them. The service was wonderful. Our server recommended some fabulous martinis for us. Pros: Amazing food & ambience Cons: Nothing more

Food needs improvement but who goes there for the food anyways- you go for the girls! 2/26/2009

If you are going to Ketchup for the food or service STOP right now! This place has never been lauded for their cuisine. It's just diner food kicked up a few notches. But thanks to The Hills TV show this place gets a ton of girls. Sure many are riff raff from the East Side but among the rest are some gems. That's what Ketchup is all about. It's still hip, still pretty busy and you can meet cool people there. Go there for the scene, enjoy the bar, and if you meet someone cool, stay for dinner. Not really a date place though so couples you may want to skip this place. Pros: Girls Cons: Food more

Great Atmosphere & Food Under One Roof! 2/24/2009

Go to Ketchup if you want a sophisticated atmosphere, great food, and fun that won't break the bank! The staff was gorgeous, attentive, and unpretentious. The lighting was perfectly flattering! I was 30 min late for my reservation at 10pm, but got some tasty raspberry mojitos at the bar and didn't have to wait long for a table--even though the place was packed! The music was great and everyone there was laughing and having a great time--myself included! The menu options are fun, the portion size is just right, everything my party ordered was cooked and seasoned perfectly, presented beautifully. I will go back for the mac n cheese alone!! The drinks were pricey (same as everywhere else), but the bill for the meal put a smile on my face!! Pros: Decor, music, lighting, service, price, food, location Cons: $10 valet more

Worth a Visit 1/28/2009

In general, i really enjoyed my dining experience at Ketchup! The atmosphere was very cool, great decor gave a hip and trendy feel. I thought it was cool how the restaurant overlooked the Sunset Strip. I had the Baby Back Ribs and they were amazing - came with mac n cheese that was mouthwatering. My date had the Drunken Scallops and she thought they were VERY GOOD. We were a little dissappointed with the French Fry appetizer though - we really thought the 5 different kinds of ketchup would have been something amazing (since the place is named Ketchup), but instead they were just okay (to be honest, i would have preferred Heinz ketchup with the 3 variety of fries). Despite the ketchup issue, we would definitely come back again. The restaurant is by far not cheap, but we really didn't find it overly expensive either. It is definitely a good date place! Pros: Atmosphere, Food Cons: $10 Valet - i'd park at Sunset Plaza next time and save the dough! more

Great LA Dining Experience!! 1/6/2009

The fries appetizer is amazing to start out with, The Kobe burger is also one of my favorites for lunch and for dinner, I had the sliders, The desert is AMAZING the s'mores is great however kindof small...and the chocolate chip cookie thing is GREAT! Pros: THE FOOD Cons: Pricey more

Worth a visit 1/2/2009

My friend was visiting from San Francisco...and when we drove by Ketchup, she recognized it from the show ""The Hills,"" and really HAD TO TRY IT OUT! Pros: Beautiful inside. good service Cons: overpriced. totally flavorless food. limited menu more

Trendy spot with average Food 12/10/2008

Hot spot in a trendy location.... Everything you'd expect at a trendy hollywood spot, plastic decor and plastic patrons. Only pro is the fries and dipping sauces i.e. mango ketcup and so forth. Pros: Variety of dipping sauces for the frittes Cons: Slow back end service, odd interior odor more

Ehhh...... 8/16/2008

Very trendy. Food is not great at all, small portions and a bit tasteless. Don't go hungry. It's definately a fun place to hang out with your friends, with a nice view. I would probably only go on Sunday's because of their 50% deal off of food (I really would rather not pay full price for that food). Pros: Atmosphere, view of Sunset Blvd, nice waiter/waitresses.... Cons: food more

good place to be in 8/4/2008

Definitely a good place to be in. The bartenders had a bit of attitude but the interior design was very clean even though the combination of colors hurt your eyes a little bit. but overall, I'll give it an 8 out of 10. Pros: unique interior design, good prices, good food Cons: interior colors are a bit too much, bartenders have attitude more

Nice View of WeHo 7/30/2008

I love this area of sunset bc it's exactly what I wish hollywood blvd area could be. The view was great, and the food was definitely classic and delcious. The kobe beef hot dogs were adorable! more

Prime People Watching 6/24/2008

This trendalicious, Hollywood hot spot is a must-eat for those who want to score a pretty decent meal while keeping their eyes peeled for celebrity patrons. My friends and I spotted 90210 vet and former Dancing with The Stars contestant- Ian Zering- while feasting on flavoral french-fries with different types of ketchups to dip into. We also dug into the mini kobe beef burgers which were surprisingly filling for such a tiny treat. The cherry on top of the entire meal was the magnificent macaroni & cheese with dunganess crab and truffles. For someone who does not typically like mac & cheese- I would say that this was the most memorable and delicious dish of the night (even better than spotting a 90210 hottie!) The place is expensive, but pretty worth the fabulous night of fantastic food and stylish ambiance. Pros: Mac and Cheese will surely Please Cons: expensive for anyone who is not a celebrity more

LOVE their Mac n' cheese...love this restaurant!! 6/23/2008

I took my fiance here for his bday...AMAZING!!! We waited in their beautiful lounge area...(Great drinks) not selfish w/their alcohol... Pros: Nothing here Cons: Great food, staff, and prices more

go somewhere else for food 6/16/2008

We have been there a few times, always like the decor and atmosphere and decent customer service. This time we actually paid attention to the food and it was disappointing: burger sliders were bland, mini hot dogs were ordinary, beer can chicken was tasteless, and BBQ chicken was dry as a bone. Sweet potato fries were sweet by nature, unnecessary to add sugar......for the prices of menu, they were not worth it. Pros: ambience and service Cons: food and parking more

Awesome for a group outing! 6/9/2008

I went there in a group of 8 and had an absolute blast! While we were waiting for our party, we had some fun drinks at the bar - mine was made with Yoo-Hoo so good! We ordered everything from the steak to the bbq salad, shake n bake chicken, ribs, fries, etc., etc. and it was ALL GOOD and very flavorful! One person said the Kobe steak was a little overdone but that was the only complaint I heard about the food. The waitresses were nice as well. The only complaint we had about the service was that the restaurant only takes 3 credit cards. I can partially understand this, but for a group of 8, it took awhile to separate everyone's tabs and find enough cash to cover the rest of the (fat) bill. But even with that, it was worth it! Pros: Fun decor, tasty drinks made from childhood favs (like Yoo-Hoo), Mac N Cheese Cons: Only 3 credit cards per table (if in a large group) more

Great Experience! 6/4/2008

Took a friend for her birthday. She had a very good time. Our waiter was wonderful. She had a blast. The atmosphere was fun and trendy...just like my friend. The food was good. I don't recommend the Kobe Sliders. Although the Kobe Beef was good, the restaurants choice of Bread is suspect. It's a little on the hard side, and I don't recommend the Ding Dong desert. They say creamy filling, just like in the Hostess Ding Dong...ALL LIES. It's just a little drizzle of Vanilla sauce on the top. VERY DISAPPOINTING! But it's still fun and worth the try, ALSO WORTH A TRY IS THE CRAB MACARONI AND CHEESE. OMG!!!! more

Trendy, fun, unique 5/22/2008

I went here for my birthday dinner and I really enjoyed the hip and trendy atmosphere. The drink I ordered was good and we got free shots because it was my birthday! Everyone was nice and the food was pretty good. There could definitely be more options on the menu, but it's overall a great place for a special occasion or to hang out and get drinks with friends. Pros: Ambience, ketchup! Cons: Pricey, but it depends on what you get more

Ketchup - A great time 4/7/2008

Yesterday was my birthday and I went to Ketchup with my two sons (my husband had to work). We had a great time considering it was a very last minute decision. Pros: Great service, nice to well behaved children, good food. Cons: A little pricey. more

overpriced, overrated 3/23/2008

The ambience is very cool. A modern twist on retro if that is possible. The food is expensive and nothing to write home about at best. I was exteremely dissapointed in the fries and KETCHUP of all things. Youd expect them to have perfected that side dish hence the restaurant name, but nothing about it was good. They tried too hard to be ultra gourmet on comfort food dishes.. I would reccommend coming here for the bar/lounge area and then veturing somewhere else on sunset for food. Pros: ambience Cons: food more

yeh for half-price Sunday & complimentary shots 3/3/2008

If it weren?t for half-price Sunday (food only, not alcholic drinks), complimentary shots, and free street parking, I would feel gypped. We got Fries, Lobster Wrap, Kobe BLT Slider, Mini Chili Dog, Mini Chicken Tacos, Ice Cream Sandwich. Chicken Tacos was good, the rest were kind of cold and just ok. The air condition was on high too so that didn?t help our dining experience. Lobster Wrap, Kobe BLT Slider, Kobe Chili Dog are great ideas, but could be more flavorful and served warm. Espciallally the Sliders, the cheese could?ve been melted in between the bun and the meat, so the whole thing binds together, but it looked like it was all assembled at room temp. as for the Ice Cream Sandwich, the two cookies were too big for the amount of ice cream served with (or not enough ice cream for the size of the cookies), and a little burnt so kind of hard. for 2, plus a Vodka Tonic $42 pre tip Pros: half-price Sunday, complimentary shots, free street parking on Sunday, & our Server was good Cons: food was just ok more
