Keoke Kennels Boarding

I've used this kennel (and their grooming services) for the past 6 years, and they are fabulous! What kept us coming back? The owner is a true ""dog person"", and it shows. The animals get great care, the ""accommodations"" are spacious and clean, they have big inside-outside runs. Dogs have ""beds"" up off the floor, so you can send them in with their favorite blanket/toys, etc. It's not a doggy spa -- it's a true kennel, but what counts for me is that every time we pick up ""Shaggy"" -- after a week or a long weekend -- he's 100 percent ""normal""! He's not stressed or anxious. He's just as happy to go to Keoke Kennels as he is when we pick him up. And that is NOT the experience we have had with other fancier, more expensive kennels. This place is the best! Pros: Family-owned, inside/outside runs, pricing, excellent care Cons: None. Can't think of any! more

This place is absolutely awful! I recently brought my dog here and when I picked her up, I discovered she had been choking herself (with her collar) for over a day. She was bleeding and starving, and the kennel staff said that they didn't go around and check on her. My total stay was about $100, but with a vet visit after (for her bleeding mouth and UTI) it was another $170. We had to leave our vacation early so we could get her out of this awful place (lost another $230 by leaving the hotel 1 night early). This place is absolutely cruel to the animals.
