LOVING, RESPONSIBLE & EXTREMELY ORGANIZED!!! 3/13/2009

This animal loving couple and assisstants that visit the Mulholland dog park with about 25 dogs is Heavenly to be around. If you love dogs, grab your blanket, sit yourself down right where they are, you can't miss them, they will be wearing safari/ranger type clothing wth cute safai hats. I guarantee you will have a great time. Every dog they care for is a joy to be around and all are in harmony. You never see a dog fight. you never smell or see "doggy dooty" as soon as one of the precious furry friends does business, it is cleaned up within seconds. They care for all breeds and somehow they brilliantly mange to keep everything in a happy, joyful, clean, and harmonious atmosphere. All I can say is, keep up the good work Kelly's Pet Care!!! Pros: THE DOGS ARE HAPPY Cons: NO CONS more

In response to the negative review 2/8/2009

I am a former Kelly's Pet Care client, sadly had to stop because I moved. Firstly, the Laurel Canyon dog park is a public place, which is exactly why KPC has the right to take their dogs there. KPC's fees are very modest, and probably only covers the expenses that they have used to ensure safe transportation, fuel, materials, staff, toys, etc. As far as I'm concerned, they are doing a public service by exercising these VERY LOVED DOGS through their business. How dare "spauldingboy" claim that the dog owners don't care? If they didn't care, they could just leave them in a yard or tied up at home, which would create an unbalanced and destructive animal. People who are looking for reviews on KPC need only look at the overwhelming positive reviews, all of which are true. Spauldingboy either enjoys tearing apart individuals that he knows nothing about and/or he is threatened by the professionalism of KPC. There are several "dogwalkers" who take dogs to the park and literally sit in chairs and talk to one another while the dogs are doing god knows what. KPC, on the other hand, knows exactly where each and every one of their dogs are at all times. They interactively engage the dogs, provide them with fresh water, and ALWAYS abide by the park rules. The "area" ensures responsible monitoring of the dogs, and is in the back corner of the park. If you haven't been to the park, imagine their area taking up about 2% of the park, there is PLENTY of space to be on your own for "serenity and peace" if that is what you wish. However, I feel compelled to remind spauldingboy that this is DOG PARK... it is not a day spa!! If you want serenity and peace you need to go somewhere else. This is a place to run around, play, get messy with, and just plain down and dirty with your dog. Anyway, I've put in my two cents. One more thing... Every KPC client has been to the park with their dog, as it is a requirement for evaluation of your dog before he/she can be a part of the pack. more

The Best in LA!!! 12/4/2008

I have been using Kelly's Pet CAre for years, and I could not be more impressed with Ross & Kelly. Their love and care for the dogs is evident when you watch them in action. I have been to the park when Ross confronts someone, and it is always been because the person has an aggressive dog that he feels is a danger to his Pack, and he wants them away to keep The Pack safe. Now that is exactly the kind of people I want taking care of my Dog. Pros: Your dogs will be safe and be tired when they get home!!! more

Not what they're cracked up to be! 10/11/2008

I just jumped on here to see that everyone seems to be raving about Ross & Kelly. They used to take my dog, but decided that he was a little bit too much trouble for them. He is very playful and has never had any social issues, but somehow Ross & Kelly deemed him "not the right fit." Oddly, they didn't give me an explanation beyond that when they refused to take him any longer. I take my dog to the park myself from time to time & ever since he was "kicked out" of the Kelly's Pet Care pack, they've treated me (AND my dog - yeah, they're "dog-lovers") with distain. I've witnessed numerous arguements between Ross & various people who get near the space they occupy at this PUBLIC park - Ross seems to like to tell people what is right & wrong with their dog's behavior. I think he thinks he's Cesar Milan. There are many other dogwalkers that bring large groups of dogs to the Laurel Canyon Park, and I've never seen any dischord among them. Ross & Kelly are quite interesting to watch, really. They do run & play a lot with the dogs, but there are SO MANY dogs (I've seen about 30 at a time), that they tend to corral them at various times to maintain order. If you're looking for individual attention for your dog, you're not going to get it with them. They clearly have no people skills, either, so you can forget about any level of decent customer service. I consider them oddballs and I would enjoy the park a lot more if they weren't there! They act like they own it and can be really obnoxious. You should think twice about hiring them. Cons: No individualized attention to your dog more

Best Pet Day Care In LA 9/18/2008

Our 9 month old Great Pyrenees, Oscar, has been part of Kelly's Pet Care now for about two months. We have tried other pet day cares' here in LA and by far Kellys is the best. Kelly and Ross and the rest of their staff are very energetic and they truley love the dogs. I work very long hours and was worried about Oscar not getting enough exersice during the week...not anymore. He is exhausted when I get home and I dont feel bad not taking him for a hike or to the park after my long day. They pick him up and drop him off...it's pretty awesome. They keep me posted with updates on Oscar, what other dogs he plays with, pictures, etc..I have recommend Kellys to two of my nieghbors I would recommned them to anyone who wants their dog in a more interactive day care environment!! more

Paws down, the best for your dog(s)! 9/17/2008

Ross and Kelly have the best Pack around - paws down. Their dedication to their work shows in their professionalism, accountablity, knowledge and general happy demeanor - they love what they do. And it shows; everyday my dog comes home happy and tired for the physical exercise and the mental stimulation he has received thanks to them. Ross and Kelly are a treasure to Los Angeles and I am so thankful for them. Pros: Everything more

Best Pet Sitters 9/17/2008

My dog Kate is absolutely exhausted, snoring at my feet, as I write this. She spent all day with Kelly and Ross and is a very happy little girl....well a 74 pound little girl. Kate is a new member of the pack. Aside from their amazing energy, what impresses me most about Kelly and Ross is how much care they take with the entire pack. They ease each new member of the pack in with care and consideration. Well before Kate started with them, they made sure that she would be the right fit for their group. They encouraged me to bring Kate to the park, so they could see her with their other dogs, gage her temperment and get an idea of her likes and dislikes. I'm certain that if there had been any doubt in their mind that Kate wasn't comfortable, safe or the right fit for their group, they would have politely passed on the job. That's huge! It's speaks to their professionalism, dedication and their sincere affection for the animals they're responsible for. I feel absolutely confident that Kate is safe and having a ball when she's with them. She started fetching for the first time ever last week...and she's more than six years old! I almost fell over. Somehow they were able to tap into that instinct almost immediately, Long story short, I don't think you'll find a better pet sitting team in the country! Pros: Enthusiasm, Professionalism, Piece of Mind, Vast Knowledge more

You want the happiest dog in the world? 9/15/2008

Every weekday, Ross & Kelly pick up "the pack" in dog-friendly air conditioned vans and take them for a full day of playtime at the Laurel Canyon dog park. They give personalized attention to every single dog... they know each dog's personality, likes & dislikes. They know how ball-obsessed my dog is & always remember to bring his favorite squeeky toy! If you've ever been to the Laurel Canyon dog park, you've probably noticed the other dog walkers who hang out chatting on their cell phones, barely paying attention to the dogs. Ross & Kelly are the complete opposite. They are constantly running around & playing games with the dogs to keep them engaged and entertained. They even lead the pack on group hikes up into the wooded hillside at the north end of the park. Winston always comes home completely exhausted & happy... and somehow, they even manage to get him totally clean before delivering him home for a well-deserved nap! I can't imagine sending my dog with anyone else... their level of professionalism, knowledge & obvious love for dogs is truly unparalleled. They are also incredibly trustworthy- we feel completely comfortable giving them a set of keys to our house. The only downside... Winston is more excited to see Ross & Kelly come to the door than me!! : ) Pros: Caring, Professional, Trustworthy, Knowledgeable Cons: None more

This is the dog care service you've always dreamed you could find! 8/29/2008

Kelly and Ross Levy have become my beloved dog's second family. Their energy is endless, their enthusiasm is contagious, and their love of their 4-legged pals is obvious every time they take my Beaumont. He waits at the door and somehow knows it's a Monday, Wednesday or Friday and it must be close to 11AM. He starts out full of his usual Golden Retriever energy, and comes home from a 4-hour outing exhausted and happy. They know when his birthday is, they send monthly newsletter with photos of our dog-pals running and playing and sleeping on eachother in the van on the way home. This is a business they take very seriously and it is a joy to have them in our--and Beaumont's--lives. Roz Wolpert more

Stellar dog walkers! 8/29/2008

"Here?s the thing- it all comes down to trust. Who are you going to trust with the most precious thing in your life? Let?s face it ? our dogs are like our kids, right? I met Ross and Kelly at the park seven years ago after I got my very first dog. I watched them with their ?pack? for weeks. I thought, ?Who are these lunatics? How come they are running and jumping and laughing and rolling all over the ground with their dogs??!? I looked around at the other dog walkers who were walking around the park with their dogs as if they were underwater (while talking on a cell phone and smoking at the same time!). My dog joined the pack right away and then I began to see such amazing changes. The pack socialized her. They taught her how to become a well-rounded dog in all aspects. As the pack leaders, Kelly and Ross over-see all of their ?play? and make sure things stay friendly, let the dogs work things out amongst themselves and learn from each other and, of course, they always know exactly when to step in when things start to escalate. They know SO much about ?all things dogs?. They live, breathe and sleep dog. I?ve never seen people work so hard to continually keep these dogs physically AND mentally stimulated. I then got another dog who was very unsocialized. Through much patience, Ross and Kelly (and the pack!) taught him how to be a better dog - and he is now great with other dogs. My dogs come home happy and tired. They eat dinner and pass out. I know for a fact that a good dog is an exhausted dog!!! more

Best Dog Day Care you could ever wish for! 8/29/2008

When my dog met Ross and Kelly, I quickly realized that I didn't have a choice: Toby had already chosen them and their wonderful pack, and there was little that I was going to be able to do to drag him away from all of the fun that they were having. As I watched them work (over months of time), it became evident to me that they are providing a level of service that is incredibly hard to find. They are remarkably attentive to each dog's individual needs. Not only do I trust them with Toby's life, I'd trust them with my own.... They're that good. (And, I'd be in much better shape if they picked ME up everyday, too!) There are quite a lot of dog walkers out there in LA (I've seen them in action) who don't deliver on their promises. But Ross and Kelly are the real deal. They've dramatically improved my dog's quality of life. I can't say enough good things about them. more

Look no further, the Best in LA! 8/29/2008

I honestly don't think you could find anyone more trustworthy and loving to take care your dog(s). Not only will Ross and Kelly Levy take your dog(s) to the park for a few hours, they make sure each dog gets the exercise, love and attention that is needed. My dog Pig just adores them and "the pack" they care for each day. I am certain you won't be disappointed, just check them out for yourselves! more
