I am a former Kelly's Pet Care client, sadly had to stop because I moved. Firstly, the Laurel Canyon dog park is a public place, which is exactly why KPC has the right to take their dogs there. KPC's fees are very modest, and probably only covers the expenses that they have used to ensure safe transportation, fuel, materials, staff, toys, etc. As far as I'm concerned, they are doing a public service by exercising these VERY LOVED DOGS through their business. How dare "spauldingboy" claim that the dog owners don't care? If they didn't care, they could just leave them in a yard or tied up at home, which would create an unbalanced and destructive animal.
People who are looking for reviews on KPC need only look at the overwhelming positive reviews, all of which are true. Spauldingboy either enjoys tearing apart individuals that he knows nothing about and/or he is threatened by the professionalism of KPC. There are several "dogwalkers" who take dogs to the park and literally sit in chairs and talk to one another while the dogs are doing god knows what. KPC, on the other hand, knows exactly where each and every one of their dogs are at all times. They interactively engage the dogs, provide them with fresh water, and ALWAYS abide by the park rules. The "area" ensures responsible monitoring of the dogs, and is in the back corner of the park. If you haven't been to the park, imagine their area taking up about 2% of the park, there is PLENTY of space to be on your own for "serenity and peace" if that is what you wish. However, I feel compelled to remind spauldingboy that this is DOG PARK... it is not a day spa!! If you want serenity and peace you need to go somewhere else. This is a place to run around, play, get messy with, and just plain down and dirty with your dog.
Anyway, I've put in my two cents. One more thing... Every KPC client has been to the park with their dog, as it is a requirement for evaluation of your dog before he/she can be a part of the pack.
