I cannot say that about any other medical practice in my 50+ years. I make my living with my eyes, my observations and I observed a professional at every stop, every test, every exam and follow-up. The surgical team that performed my cataract procedure made it easy to do and the results were outstanding! i went to kleiman evangelista eye center 2 years ago and i had my lasik surgery done by dr Evangelista. and till this day my vision is PERFECT! i had been wearing my glasses for 27 years and never thaught of investing my money into such procedure. It was the best thing i ever did in my life. The staff and the dr were very kind and professional as i was so nervouse about the whole thing but dr Evangelista explained step by step through the whole procedure and it was all done so quick. If you are ever thinking about lasik surgery Kleiman Evangelista is the place to go! more

I never write reviews, but the service and environment there was so incredible, that I felt the need to spread the word. My wife had her lasik done there and it was the smartest decision we could have made. We intially went to a DIFFERENT surgeon and got a bad vibe and it felt like it was more of a factory and it was a get em' IN AND OUT mentaility. That was NOT the case at Kleiman Evangelista! They spent quality time with my wife and I, answering every question and concern in detail. I would TOTALLY reccomend them with confidence! more

Michelle at Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center is the Queen of Botox! I have been using Kleiman Evangelista in Arlington as my eye doctors for years but several months ago I decided to use some of the other services offered by Kleiman Evangelista. Everyone knows Kleiman Evangelista does amazing Lasik but they also do Botox! Once I got to the office I couldn’t help but browse their beautiful optical showroom. Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center has to have the biggest designer selection I have ever seen. It was a shame I couldn’t look longer but I was called in immediately for my appointment with Michelle. That did not stop me from purchasing a fabulous pair of Maui Jim sunglasses on my way out! Once Michelle took me back it was only minutes before the painless Botox injections were over and I was looking years younger. I just cannot say enough good things about Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center. I have so many friends who rave about how the Lasik they had done at Kleiman Evangelista changed their lives. I would recommend making an appointment today at their Arlington location. Whether you want Lasik, Botox or just a pair of fashionable new sunglasses, Kleiman Evangelista cannot be beat! more

I had lasik done at Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center (August 2009) and it was the best decision I have ever made. The day I had my surgery I got nervous and had a mild panic attack before the procedure started and Dr.Kleiman stopped what he was doing, calmed me down and talked me through the whole thing. Every single step he told me what he was doing, what I could expect and how long it would last. It really helped calm me down knowing that he could tell I was nervous and he cared enough to talk me through the procedure. I knew what to expect, they had gone over it several times, but actually having it done was different. And Dr.Kleiman understood that and made it so much easier. I was so incredibly thankful. The lasik procedure lasted about 15 minutes and I could already see the street signs more clearly on my way home. After a nap that night I woke up and for the first time in 16 years I was watching tv without any assistance. It was incredible. The same day I had lasik surgery! I had one more small concern a few months later when I thought my vision was getting blurry so I went back to Kleiman-Evangelista and they did a full check of my eyes to make sure everything was perfect (I was still a perfect 20/20) and gave me drops to help...I had gotten so used to not having to use my contact drops for my dry eyes that I had forgotten that I was still supposed to be using the rewetting drops while my eyes were adjusting. But they took care of me and made sure that I was completely happy with my procedure and the service I was getting from them. I would recommend lasik and Kleiman-Evangelista to anyone who is a candidate...and have. A year later and there are still mornings that I wake up and reach for my glasses on the nightstand and get a huge grin on my face when I realize that I don't need them anymore. There is nothing special about the lasik I need and they are complete liars, yes Dr. David Kleiman is a liar. You can see through the whole process what they are up to and at the end they tell me the procedure is going to cost almost 5000 dollars after advertising less than half of that. Dr David Kleiman’s negligence almost cost my wife her vision. In September 2009 David Kleiman told my wife that her eyes were as good as gold. She had retinal detachment in both eyes caused by diabetic retinopathy that takes decades to set in and not four weeks. We were most disappointed. As Patients we trust Doctors, should we not? In 1988, Responded failed to obtain an x-ray in regard to patient N.Y. to detect the possibility of a foreign metal object. 6. Patient N.Y. had faint evidence of rust at the time Respondent performed the initial examination, but elected not to perform an x-ray given the quietness of the eye. Respondent’s index of suspicion was also low given the lapse of time between the injury and the time of his examination 5 days later after evaluation by a previous physician. 7. Patient R.B. was examined by Respondent for trauma associated with a pencil strike to the eye. 8. Respondent administered a retrobulbar anesthesia by injection on patient R.B. that resulted in orbital hemorrhage and severe damage to the eye. 9. Respondent was aware at the time of examination that patient R.B. had a possible paternal history of Von Willebrand’s disease. Given his concern for the risk of infection however, and the fact that the patient’s father had two previous surgeries without complications, Respondent proceeded with the retrobulbar anesthesia prior to initiating clotting factor studies. 10. Respondent failed to assemble properly the equipment to perform a laser keratotomy and the resulting procedure on patient M.M. resulted in a corneal laceration and visual damage. 11. My mom had lasik surgery in 2007 with Dr. Kleiman, so when I was getting ready to have it done at the end of 2009, I decided to check out online reviews of the Dr and his eye center. Just like you may have, I read all these awful reviews, stories and experiences of people who hate Dr. Kleiman and his staff. DO NOT BELIEVE THAT CRAP!!! Everyone at Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center are AWESOME!!!! They are the sweetest most friendly people on the planet. When I brought up all these awful online reviews, Dr. David Kleiman took me aside personally to address my concerns. There are alot of deceptive doctors in the Lasik arena, and with the business being so aggressive, there are some Doctors who are paying for slander of their competitors. To me, this is unbelievable that someone would go so far as to skew the reviews on this site that are meant to give YOU, the consumer, a REALISTIC view!!! I am a 25-year old who was holding back because I was afraid of the procedure, but Dr. Kleiman made me feel SO comfortable. He is not condescending or rude, if anything he is funny and made jokes with me during my procedure to make me feel less afraid. KenniLynn, the financial/scheduler for the office, even came in to the surgical room with me and held my hand since my mom could not go in with me. EVERYONE at the Kleiman Evangelista Eye Center are so kind and caring and I would DEFINITELY recommend them to ANYONE I know!! My wait at their office was never longer than 15 minutes, they were upfront with all issues or concerns that might arise from the procedure, and I had several SEVERAL tests to determine any potential problems before they ever even offered me the option of going forward with the Lasik procedure. If you are concerned about anything you read on these review sites, go and meet him in person!!! I guarantee the staff there will be glad to show you that they are as awesome as I have described here. I paid for and had Lasik eye surgery at David Kleiman Eye Care. I paid around $3,000 for the surgery and a handful of follow up appointments. I was told I would be receiving a reminder card in the mail sometime around that time. I never received a reminder card, phone call, or email telling me it was time for my follow up. I realized I had not heard from David Kleiman about my follow up appointment so I sent them an email inquiring about my follow up appointment that I had paid for with my initial surgery. I also included an updated physical address since I had moved a few months prior. Since I moved I had mail forwarding to my new address so if they sent any reminder card I would have received it at my new address. Dr. David Kleiman obviously does not care about their customers' well-being. The almighty buck comes before your good vision - do not trust them! Cons: con artist overcharged scam more

So after an entire days journey to go to the eye doctor I found out that this one institute David Kleiman Eye Center could not operate on me, which was the very first thing I asked the scheduler so that this very situation would not happen. And what was their excuse? The scheduler does not know medical conditions. And why would the office continue the appointment after discussion of the condition? And why would David Kleiman then dilate my eyes and conduct an entire exam? I know why! Because I got a bill one month later for my exam, that’s why. When I called to ask why I had received a bill for a completely exam Dr. David Kleiman told me that it is only complementary if you have the surgery. Despite telling my surgeon of eye issues that made me a marginal candidate if not outright poor candidate for Lasik eye surgery, David Kleiman told me I was an excellent candidate and has left me with severe dry eyes, starbursts and haloes at night and ghosted images. I am still wearing glasses because I was under corrected from the start but due to all the undiagnosed eye health issues, I was never able to have further surgery to correct my vision. Dr. David Kleiman did not do any of the required screening to measure my tear quantity or quality that is critical to a successful outcome and to avoid the exact complications I have experienced for 3 years and what will likely be the rest of my life. David Kleiman Eye Center freely acknowledges a lack of informed consent and that he knew I had both dry eyes and large pupils but that he'd ""deal"" with them after the fact. Since I made it clear that I was not willing to take any additional risks I can only assume he knew I'd refuse the surgery if he warned me ahead of time and wanted my $3,000. About 18 months ago I had Lasik on my eyes at David Kleiman Eye Center and was given a discount for my treatment. Dr. David Kleiman gave me the discount because of their bad business climate and they really wanted to get some patients in for the surgery. About 6 months ago I got a demand letter from Dr. Kleiman for an additional $1000. He was taking back the discount. I couldn't believe it. This guy is a double dealing liar who will do anything for money. I thought this is about the lowest thing I have every heard of from a doctor. One of my friends had also had Lasik there & told me that they had some bad eye infections right after the surgery, called ""Sands"". They were told in was ok & it was very common & they were given steroids. After hearing that I did some research on the ""sands"" & found out it is usually caused by unclean equipment. If I would have know about this before hand I would never had my Lasik done there. I was in fact told by David Kleiman & his staff that they had never had any problems with their Lasik. Obviously they neglected to tell me about the Sands infections. I am sure they must have forgotten to mention it. I had a friend who was just contacted by them for surgery. He told them no way.
