Your money will be taken for all it's worth. If you do not have knowledge of horses you will be taken advantage of and make you pay for stuff that should not be paid by you and make things up to make you pay her money and works horses that has problems with there legs and hooves, not to mention the tack laying around everywhere and talks not being cleaned, flys everywhere more

My daughter who is 10 has been taking lessons with Katie for 3 years. We Have boarded with her for 2 years. Katie took the time and effort necessary to find my daughter the perfect pony for her individual needs. I see her taking time for all of her clients individual needs. The barn is always clean and I do not hesitate in the knowledge that my pony and horse are well taken care of. There health and well being matters to Katie. We feel truly lucky to have Katie as out trainer. My daughter would like to add a comment. Mrs.Katie helps me if i dont understand or if i get lost. She helps me with my pony if i am having a problem with my pony she is there for me!!!!!!! more

If you're looking for a lovely, family-oriented facility to begin a child's riding career, look no further. You'll find reliable school horses, a family-friendly environment, and lots of concern about safety for both ponies and people. It's not at all like the many barns toward the Odessa area which will tell you ""horses are *very* expensive"". Then, you'll be signing a high dollar lease and carting your kid to ""A"" and ""C"" rated walk trot shows! Katie tends to stick to more local shows, keeping it affordable for a family and beginner rider. She's enthusiastic, professional, great with young riders (mine are 4 and 6), and really a joy to be around. Best part is that the kids have a great time and are taught hands on horse care, not just riding and she resepcts your budget, be it moderate or without limits. Pros: Family-oriented, safe Cons: Arena footing a little deep sometimes more

I have know Katie for a couple years and she is a FANTASTIC trainer and individual. The barn is very homey and the horses are well taken care of, feeding the best feed and top quality alfalfa hay. The horses are healthy and the company is wonderful. I board at Katies and would choose to be no where else...she is not only knowledgeable in her training but she is very knowledgeable in her vet skills and has a great farrier who would stop at no means to help someone out in the time of need.................Katie Acres is the place to be... more

katie acres is a very fun and family filled environment. there is not one thing i could complain about at this barn. everytime im there my horses stall is always clean with fresh bedding, and my horse looks its best at all times. the training there is SUPERB. i have learned so much and come so far. the barn also looks its best at the moment. the barn has beautiful pavers, a new bathroom, and even a riding apparel store. more

If you do not have knowledge of horses this is not a good place to go. Your money will be taken and not be trained the right way. I know from experience. The barn is very dirty and stalls not cleaned, not a nice facility and the safety is not good. She will take your money and try to get you to spend more every day by taking advantage of you, if you do not know what you are doing. more
