From the first conversation I had with Kathy, I knew she was different. She was not like the other therapists I interviewed, she was real. She took time to answer my questions and didn't say things that seemed fluffy or weird. She was honest, straight forward, and realistic. \r \r My wife and I went to her when I thought there was no way anyone could help us. I was just going through the motions and wanted to give it one last try. During our first meeting, Kathy gave both of us hope that things could be better. In fact, she said they would be better. Dr. Nickerson's cozy office and calm demeanor always make me right at home. She is thoughtful, compassionate, and caring, and really listens when I talk. She's taught me to find, challenge, and change faulty logic that causes fear and conflict in my life and my life has improved greatly from her insights! If you live in the Southern California area, and are looking for a therapist then I recommend Dr. Nickerson. \r \r I was (and still am) getting over a difficult divorce that occured last year (2005), and it was only when I started seeing Dr. Nickerson that I was able to say ""This is hard . . . but it's going to be okay.""
