HORRIBLE --- AVOID THIS COMPANY - By far the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They came over our house and charge $175 for an estimate, without prior notice of what the charge would be. When my wife called back the next day to ask some questions and ask about the estimate, they stated ""if you are that worried about money you should go to the welfare office"". My wife and I both work and are contributing members to our community. I have never dealt with such horrible service and unprofessional behavior from a company. WORST COMPANY EVER. more

I needed a new boiler, a gentlemen came to my home, he was to say the least loud and a bit pushy but informative, they quoted me an outrageous price (I thought) to replace my boiler. I called another company, they came in and told me I needed a new pilot assembly, I was ok for $875.00 why not, much better than the $8500 quoted to replace - well within one weeks time I again had no heat. I called another company and well to date I am still waiting for their call back. I called a very well known heating company - they quoted me about the same but did not have the availability to do the work until the following week. I called back Karl's Plumbing and asked them to do the job I also asked them if they could do better and they did, they took off $500.00 from the original quoted price. They were in my house the next morning and by the end of the day I had heat plus they gave us a three year labor and parts warranty. Worth everything I went through - they even offer financing - which was great. So my first impression of Karl's Plumbing was off, I am glad I chose them more

just had a heat water heater installed by Karl's Plumbing. they arrived on time, did the work professionally and the actual cost was less then the estimate was (not a lot, but still less). o, and the staff in the office super nice. 5 stars to Karl's more

Karl s Plumbing & Heating. Where to start.This company is the most unprofessional company I have had the to pleasure to deal with. They are dishonest, rude, overpriced, disrespectful company I have ever had to deal with. The office staff is rude, loud, and down right disgusting to customers. The quality of work that is performed by their employees is very poor to say the least. Think twice before hiring this company for work in your home. The so called office manager is one of the rudest people I have had to deal with in this company. She cursed, talked down and hung up on me so she did not have to hear my complaint. more

Be Careful of these guys Called Karl's for a heating repair. The tech told me I needed to replace my six year old heating system for $7500. The tech pulled some wires and turned off the gas, charged my wife $175 for doing nothing. Turns out it was a blocked chimney and some carbon buildup. Fortunately, we got an honest heating repair guy to replace the wires the Karl's tech pulled out. Called a chimney cleaner to unblock the chimney. Everything is working again no thanks to Karl's. more

Told on the phone that the installation of my $279 space heater would cost ""thousands"" and require an architect. Folks at Lowes laughed their butts off when I told them what the person at Karl's said. Called two more plumbers, installation estimated at $145 and will be less than 1 hours work more

After I wasted plenty of time talking to two other plumbing companies who sent me in endless circles I found Karl's. They came in quickly (within 24 hours) and did the job I required the first time around. Failure to maintain backflow devices could have cost my car wash thousands in violations. They understood the urgency and took care of my issues immediately. Pros: Did the job two other so called ""experts"" couldn't handle Cons: Why didn't I try them first? more

They were called in the early morning to come to my home to replace an under-sink valve. They stated that someone would be there from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. After a second call the plumber came at 4:00 p.m. We could not get all the water turned off in the apartment house (due to the late hour) so the plumber came again the next morning. Before he left on the first day, he said that it would be $350 and they had to charge 50% on my credit card. After it was fixed, they then charged another $350 to my credit card - and the plumber said that if I spoke to the boss about it, he would be fired. Good work, but they are not clear about fees. Pros: They do a very good job Cons: They are very expensive - and not very clear about it more

I have used many plumbers in the past, but Karl's Plumbing & Heating in Forest Hills has been by far the best. They were extremely polite and courteous. The problem was fixed very quickly and they didn't charge me an arm and a leg.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Pros: knowledgeable, on time, quick, polite Cons: none! more
