Best

I've only ordered 'To-Go' from this place but I've got to say, it's freaking delicious. I love their Fried Rice, Green Curry, and Chicken Sate. I can't wait to try their Won Ton ...

Worst

First of all, the restaurant is now called something different. The menu still says Thai Angel, but the front says something else. To summarise my review, I was very disappointed ...

So bad I couldn't eat it 6/24/2011

I stopped at this restaurant for lunch yesterday and should have known to pass it up when there was not a single other customer in there at 1:00 in the afternoon. I took my chances, based on the other reviews I had seen here, what a complete waste of time and money. more

Tasty Thai 1/13/2011

I've only ordered 'To-Go' from this place but I've got to say, it's freaking delicious. I love their Fried Rice, Green Curry, and Chicken Sate. I can't wait to try their Won Ton Soup. The only time I was disappointed was with their Fried Won Tons. There was about a teaspoon of meat in an egg roll sized wonton wrapper. But if you're looking for Delicious Thai Food this is the place to go. If you live close by they have free delivery too. (I believe they have the distance on their website) more

Absolutely the worst 8/8/2009

This place s*cks a**. It is absolutely the worst I've ever had anywhere in the entire world. I ordered 3 dishes. 1)Combination spicy seafood.....no shrimp, no mussles, no spices...So bad I had to toss this out 2)Chicken peanut sauce......peanut sauce no taste....chicken burnt to a crisp. 3) Red Curry chicken.....no curry no chicken no taste and the rice is both crunch and soggy at the same time Worst place I've ever ate.....go pull some sh*t out of the bathroom and eat that it'll be better. Cons: bad seafood, mealy curry no spice, terrible rice more

Very disappointing 12/22/2008

First of all, the restaurant is now called something different. The menu still says Thai Angel, but the front says something else. To summarise my review, I was very disappointed with the food. Pad Thai has lots of sauce on it and did not taste right, curry was OK, but nothing exceptional. As expected, the decor was bad, pretty much as bad as Thai restaurants get. The only positive was nice service. more

Great Thai Food! 12/15/2008

I have gone to this thai restaurant so many times I cant count! Everytime I order a Tom Yum soup and have a great time. The people are really nice and make conversation. Also the take out is great. You barely ever find takeout for Thai. They would do wayyyyy better if they had a better location. Id def recommend this place. Pros: Great prices, great food, great service, and delivery. Cons: Could have a better ambience. more

best thai food I've EVER HAD and I've had a LOT!!!!! LOYAL CUSTOMER! 11/13/2008

thai food is my favorite food. so I have eaten at a lot of places. from LA to sanfrancisco to portland, OR. I was sooooo suprised to find this little hole in the wall, hidden away to be my favorite place. but that's how it is, isn't it. I've come to know the family that run it and they have come to know me and my family. they've seen me come in when I was really pregnant and are now watching my son grow up before their eyes. they have 2 little kids who are so adorable and occasionally you'll see them playing in the back. Their mother is the cook and her food is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! mm-mm-mm! sometimes you will see her peeking over the edge of the order window. too bad they don't have more customers though. it is always dead in there. but I guess a lot of their customers get take out. but it is worth the lack of atmosphere. and even just the way it is gives it a kind of a lovely atmosphere. I just love this place and the family who run it, what can I say! Pros: best thai food ever! Cons: I want to see their restaraunt thriving and it is not, so show them some love! more

Great Thai for a great price! 3/15/2008

Was just looking for a decent local Thai restaurant and found Thai Angel with a decent number of reviews and ignoring the two negative comments, found enough positive comments to check them out. Pros: Tasty food Cons: Bathroom is unisex and has a urinal with a strong deodorant smell more

I love it! 1/19/2008

I love this place! They have great food and they deliver! Not to mention their delivery charge is only $1 if your order is under a certain amount. It's a great place to order from if your stuck at work or whatnot. I definitely recommend Thai Angel! more

I always enjoy my food. 11/11/2006

It?s weird to me that the last two reviews are so bad. I?ve only had good food from this place, both dining in and ordering for delivery. I mean DELIVERED THAI?!! You don?t get that where I grew up. Anyways The Angle is delicious and unlike other local Thai places they don?t deport there staff because they ask for fair wages and Thai people are making your Thai food. What else do you want?! more

Watch your credit card! 7/9/2006

We ate at Thai Angel yesterday for the first time, had bad service and so-so food, but were horrified to discover that the waiter ran our credit card for a larger tip than we signed for! more

Good luck placing an order 7/1/2006

I suppose one of the tenants of being able to do business over the telephone (taking orders for delivery by phone) would be that one must be able to communicate over the telephone clearly. I just got off the phone w/ Thai Angel, intending to place a couple of orders for a few curry dishes, but instead, I think I was just asked for my home phone number so somebody's friend could call me(?). All I wanted was a Vegetable Green Curry w/ no mushrooms, but apparently this is too difficult for someone to understand. While trying to communicate with the person on the phone, I was laughed at and given the run around. It's too bad; I really wanted curry tonight. Someone else will have my dollar. more

My favorite Pad Se Ew ever! 4/20/2006

I frequent Thai Angel at least twice a month as well as have them deliver to my office in Beaverton. Their delivery guy is great. Telephone skills are a bit lacking at times for takeout or to-go but their Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, and Tom Kha Gai are the best I've ever had, and I've tried at least 30 Thai restaurants! Pros: Tasty!, Inexpensive , Fab lunch menu Cons: Music inappropriate more

Our favorite Thai restaurant in Portland!!! 12/12/2005

We have only eaten in the restaurant once but do the take out or delivery at least once a month! It is so hard to find truly good Thai food; Thai Angel hits the mark! I am a very picky about my Tom Yum soup - I could live on theirs! The Curries are outstanding, the meats are fresh, the service is prompt and always friendly. If you want outstanding Thai food - This is the place!!! In all fairness I do have to say the dine experience in may not be right for romance. But if you're dining alone they have big screen TV on one side of the dining room. Again, great service and fine for families. Pros: Outstanding Food!, Excellent Service!, Fast Delivery! Cons: Not Romantic Dine In, Unfranchised :) more

The best Thai food in the Portland Metro area. 12/8/2005

The best Thai food to be found in the Portland Metro area. No kidding, if you want the real thing, then this little Thai resturant is for you. The decor is ok, the folks running the place are very nice, but the food is excellent! And as other have pointed out...They Deliver. So you have no excuse to not try their menu selections. more

Best Curry in the PNW! 12/5/2005

Well ""best"" might a bit of an exaggeration, but Ive been to so many from Seattle to Portland, and Beaverton's Thai Angel stands out for flavor! Curry, Pad Thai, and Pineapple rice at Thai Angel are all exquisite. In a hurry? The take out is fast and reliable! Pros: Delicious, Inexpensive, Tons of food Cons: out-of-the-way, tacky more

Best Thai in Town 3/16/2005

This place has the best Thai Food in town! Yes I like Typhoon and Thai Orchid too, but this place has great prices and delivers. I think that they would be a lot more popular if they were in a better location. You must try this place and if you are tired of getting pizza delivered, then give them a call. Pros: Best Thai, Delivery Cons: Location more

Angel is a blessing 12/21/2004

Thai Angel stands out in the fact that it doesn't stand out. While this sounds cryptic and bleak, it's a big compliment in the fast food wasteland that surrounds the little restaurant. Nestled in a Beaverton strip mall, and surrounded by plastic burgers, tacos, and greasy chicken, Thai Angel provides solid, consistent, and authentic Thai food. Pad Thai, always the benchmark of a Thai place, is a must. The curries are good, but a bit on the bitter side, though the reds are a better bet than the greens. Decent appetizers, too, but go with the fishcake and the zesty sauce. The wait staff always looks bored, but it's more indicative of the location than the service. The fact that you get a ton of food and they deliver make Thai Angel a good bet. Pros: lot of food, delivery more
