Best

It is not by accident that this library was named National Library of the Year 2002. It is very, very good, and I think Kalamazoo is lucky to have a resource like this downtown. ...

Excellent 12/21/2005

This is one of the best libraries I have even seen. the building is great. The access to the internet is easy with a library card. The staff in the archives section are helpful. The audiovisual collection is extensive. The nice perk is the MP3 players taht can be checked out (with credit card) to listen to several audio books per checkout. The Friends of the Library bookstore offers used books at reasonable prices. There is free parking on south street on the north side of the library. Look there first prior to paying at the meters or the lot in the back. more

Kalamazoo Public Library 8/19/2005

This library is fantastic. Not only is there a huge selection of books for adults, there is a very large children's section with books, toys, etc to keep the kids entertained. I also think it's nice to be able to get internet access for those that can't afford it at home or those that don't have a computer at all. The computer system makes it easy to locate books and I love that you can reserve books online before you even go. The only downside is you have to pay to park downtown, but with all there is to do there it's worth the parking fees. more
