A slightly raw gem, this cafe is a neighborhood bistro, family restaurant, and business-lunch destination all in one. service can be absent-minded and some of the main-dish selections are good efforts but need work (flavors in the scallops with coconut risotto never quite blend; ditto on the pasta with shrimp, lemon and asparagus). salads, sandwiches, soups, desserts (creme caramel, for example) are excellent. best of all is the casual atmosphere -- we always feel welcome here.
Pros: friendly, great location, not many veg. options
Cons: , awkward flavor combos
