103.9 was my favorite radio station for a long time, then they went off the deep end with annoying djs, constant commercials, and the same music. Recently, however, they seem to have mended their ways to a certain extent. They are quite proud of being able to play what they want, and rightfully so: surprising songs are played with some frequency, and they do generally avoid the trap of only playing the same things. However, it is hard to listen to the station when they still have annoying djs, and they insist on boasting about their non-corporate ownership every commercial break. Plus, the ommercials remain as terrible as ever. 103.9 is good for the occasional song, but I can hardly say you'd want to stick around for what happens in between.
