Juut Salonspa St Paul

Unlike “happystringteacher”, I had a COMPLETELY opposite experience. I had never been to a Juut salon and thought I would try the St Paul location because I live so close. From the moment I walked in I had an incredible time with the entire staff. I brought in a picture of what I wanted & had Beth as my stylist. She not only did an absolutely amazing job but went far above & beyond. She was very pleasant the entire time & demonstrated precisely how I could maintain the look myself. I felt SO happy & very beautiful. I had my hair done because I have an older sister who is terminally ill (with possibly two years left to live) & my family & friends had a HUGE birthday celebration for her. Now because of Beth, I have wonderful family photos to remember the celebration with. Pros: Friendly staff & nice atmosphere/location. Cons: None I can think of. more

I walked in and was greeted just fine. I was hoping for the best because I live so close. Since I have heard mixed reviews I was a bit hesitant. Beth was my stylist and gave me THE worst hair cut I have ever had in my LIFE! I was extremely upset and about ready to cry! I am growing my hair out for my wedding and I asked for a long layers and just a simple trim. Guess what I got. She cut off my thickness so I walked out with less hair-and gave me BANGS! Never will I ever go to your salon again! Please work on your hospitality, hiring quality staff. I will certainly spread the word about how horrible your salon is! No thank you-thank you for ruining my hair. Thankfully it will grow out for my wedding. I am extremely upset with your staff-and Beth should be fired. She was extremely rude after my hair cut. I was shocked to read the less than pleasant reviews about Juut! I've been going to the salon for almost 10 years and look forward to every visit! They are so pleasant, helpful and create the most relaxing environment. It's worth every dime you pay for your services. My loyalty to the salon and specifically, Bridget, spans more than 1000 miles. I travel from New York City every few months to have Bridget tame my wild hair. She's ultimately talented and I recommend her a thousand times over. more

I walk in, there are 3 young people behind counter, they look at me, don't say a word. I say, I am just coming in to buy products. They all turn away, no offer to help. I look around, and turn to the 3, and say, I have a question about a product. They look at me. I realize they are waiting for me to come over to them. I continue to look back at them. Finally, the young man of the group comes over. He explains the product. The end. Goes back behind his counter. The makeup gal shows up. I tell her I use Aveda makeup and I am looking for a lipstick. She asks, something for the holidays. I say, no, for everyday. She puts a bright pinkish color on me. I tell her, no, I would never wear this, no offer of tissue to remove, no other suggestions, just looks at me. I say, ok, and walk away. And HER FINGERS SMELLED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE when applying the lipstick. This was a really stinky experience. Will never walk in their doors again. Pros: Products Cons: No Customer Service more

I look like a horst from the front, a man from the back, Bridget did not give me the style of the picture I showed her--I cryed in my car. I only have hair on the top of my head!!! None around my ears on on my neck--and she looked at the picture. An $85.00 disaster--never again. more

Man, I am so glad I had my hair done here. BEAUTIFUL PLACE, friendly faces, and talented hair artists. The clientele at this location was wonderful! I have a tangle of curls and have had some horrific experiences, but I have never been disappointed with cuts and color at Juut in St. Paul - they are very consistent and reliable. I lived in St. Paul for many years and went to the Juut on Grand for at least 10. Dennis is a wizard at color, not to mention a great conversationalist, and I was happy with the cuts I received. I now live in California, but whenever I can, I fly to St. Paul to have Dennis do my color. It's just a much mor positive experience. The front desk staff is always pleasant and helpful, and the environment is warm and relaxing. The salons here do good work, but they're just not up to the St. Paul Juut's standard. I have been a client at Juut for years, and love every expereince. Erin (color) and Kathy (cut) are professional, and make me feel beautiful both inside and out! They both make new suggestions during my appointments, but always listen to my needs and wants. The salon is absolutely beautiful, and everyone is always friendly. more

To me, this is the best spa/salon in the TC - I've been seeing Brooke for waxing and facials, Renee and Su for manis/pedis, and Ruth for massage for years now. The support staff know me by name, there's a great little waiting area with a fireplace, and I wouldn't send anyone I know anywhere else. Professional, knowledgeable, and great products too - the "value-add" for the client is real! Parking can be a pain, but they validate some time in the ramp across the street, and I've generally been pretty lucky with parking in the little lot right off of Grand Avenue. As a first time client, service was great. I made an appt. with one day's notice for a mani/pedi. Sue did my nails and was wonderful. After a long week of work, she allowed to sit back and enjoy the service without a bunch of chit-chat. I left feeling rejuvenated and pampered. The atmosphere is everything an urban spa should be.
