I was worried about our dinner at Justine's. We had 10 people coming last minute. It was late and I was hungry. Thank goodness we ended up here.
We got lucky being a Wednesday night. They were able to seat us with no problem. It definitely got crowded as we enjoyed our meal, though.
Started of with some really great escargot. The herb-ey butter was so good we finished it off with the the really great bread they serve. Another of our party ordered the cheese plate and MAN was that some good cheese. I just wish I had the list of cheeses because I want more!
I ordered the duck confit. I've never had such a thing before, but I have to tell you it was tasty. The outside was so crispy and delicious and inside was pretty moist. Now my dining partners thought it should be more moist due to the cooking style, but I was happy. The french fries. Well, here is the surprise of the night. BEST FRENCH FRIES I'VE EVER HAD! I did not come into this restaurant expecting this but they were incredible.
My husband ordered the rib-eye and it was the best piece of meat I've had in a long time. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned.
The service was really great. Our waitress was helpful and friendly. The entire place is cute as can be. It can be a bit loud because it is such a small place. I was reminded of some of the brasseries we visited in Paris. I highly recommend Justine's. The food is really great, well priced for what you get and a fun environment.
Pros: best french fries ever, great food, decent prices
Cons: crowded, far far east
