I too was subject to the Just Tire policy of rigging up your vehicle for a ""free"" alignment check. You know right away that you're going to be hit with the need for an alignment then the drilling for revenues begins! They started the bidding at around $80 and came down to $50 since I kept saying ""no."" My tires were $100 each on sale, but my bill was almost $600!! I called Just Tires Headquarters to complain of their methods and they said the reason they only charged $50 was because they couldn't do a ""full"" alignment without a caster kit. Well I'm thinking if that's the case, why did they try to get $80 out of me during the negotiations process? Tried to rip me off? I think so. I also asked them to look for coolant dripping while they had it on the ramps. They didn't check. The next day I ended up with freeze plug repairs at a local shop. While there, they commented that it was ridiculous that Just Tires first didn't clean my new tires (the blue stuff) and second that they did an alignment while my ball joints were obviously worn out!! I've been noticing the ball joint rattle for some time now. Just Tires never once commented about any alignment issues at all. When I agreed to the $50 they had it off the ramps within 5-10 minutes! So, if they could not perform the ""full"" alignment because I needed a caster kit, why would they proceed to align the wheels at all with worn out ball joints, one might ask.. I assume they didn't even check them. Headquarters was pretty defensive to the alignment issue, probably because their employee lied to them as to why they only charged $50. And BTW, Just Tires IS Goodyear, ya know. This was the store in Garner, NC Hwy70. NEVER AGAIN!!
