Just Hair

In response to Samantha W.\r \r Ma'am, I am terribly sorry that I was not physically able to cut your son's hair. I can honestly say that in my 8+ years of experience as a professional stylist I have handled many scared children in my chair, but never before have I encountered a child who's hair I could not cut. I tried for more than 30 minutes to talk to your little boy & coax him into allowing me to give him a cut - unfortunately he was inconsolable. When a child starts kicking, twisting, shaking his head, crying and screaming the way he was, I don't feel comfortable continuing the service. Every time I tried to get close to him he became more frantic. Not only is this dangerous for my own safety, but for the safety of your son as well. Had I cut him or hurt him in any way, I would feel more terrible about that than any negative review you can post about me. I never have, nor would I ever dream of ""kicking"" anyone out of my place of employment; my exact words were ""I'm sorry, but I don't think I can continue this."" I never kicked you out or even suggested you leave, I simply stated that I couldn't continue. I asked you what else I could do and then I apologized repeatedly as you got up and left. I understand you being upset, but please understand that I was not acting out of malice but out of concern for the safety of your son as well as the consideration for all of our clients. As a professional, I don't feel comfortable cutting a child's hair when he is already traumatized & his mother has to almost hold him in a headlock in order for me to complete my duty. I do apologize sincerely for not being able to meet your expectations, though I am confident that my decision was the right one to make given the circumstances. I truly hope your son will overcome his fear of having his hair cut. Perhapse he would feel more comfortable in a specialized child focused atmosphere.\r \r ~ Shawna ~ more

Shawna kicked my son and I out because he was afraid of getting a haircut! She started on his head and just kicked us out. About 1/2 of the bottom of his head was buzzed and that was it. I can't believe she made us leave with him looking like that! more

Just hair is by far the best hair salon I have ever been to. I am up there in age and I need a cut and color to make me look young and hot. The girls at just hair give me anything I need. They always make me look good and I will not go anywhere else for my salon needs. I was very nervous to cut my waist lenght, unruly hair. I was ready to shorten my hair but had alot of anxiety about not liking it. I had visited this salon before just for trims. I brought in a picture that I was sure would not be able to be recreated for me since I am VERY picky. However, to my surprise, the cut and style was gorgeous!!!! It was exactly what I wanted. We took off at least 6 inches and for the first time in years I actually have a hair style! And for only 30 bucks!! I was so impressed with the cut and amazed at the price that I left a very large tip! (This was an expert quality cut that I would have been willing to pay $70 for.) The hairdresser was Ashley, she is awesome!!!! Needless to say, I will continue to visit this salon!!!! (If Ashley is not available, Kaitlin is very good also.) Pros: They do walk-ins and appointments. A very friendly and comfortable atmosphere. more
