I have been going to JMD for about 12 years or so , and I have to say I love that place , it is so much fun , they have a plethora (sp?) of cr@p to look at , the prices on clothes...

Worst

I am alternative, these people are RUDE! God forbid you need any help finding something in the window. The fashion buyer there hates anyone that wants to spend money in the store....

Fascinating eclectic store...anything goes 10/13/2005

I can't think of a way to describe the kind of store this is. They have everything from cool clothing for men and women, to fabulous shoes, to incense and "pipe" smoking items, to fetish wear (and the shoes come in sizes up to 14 if you know a cross dresser!) I had to have my bag checked, they seem to have tight security here. But that's because they are in the Little Five Points area I'm guessing. They are just down from the Vortex, and have their own parking lot (which is GREAT for this area). Not the cleanest store on record, but very interesting and worth a stop and look even if for just curiosity's sake. I can't think of what it is you'd be looking for to come here, but you'd most assuredly find it. more

Junkman's Daughter- Exotic Tastes rejoice 9/15/2005

The Junkmans Daughter is a great countercultural shop in Little Five Points in Atlanta. For those of us who are young or young at heart and don't want to fit into the mainstream, this is the place to shop. Good selection of outfits, costumes, wall coverings, incense. This place can definitely turn your college dorm room into a happening place. more

Not for the faint of heart! 9/2/2005

Little 5 Points is a great place to people watch- there is always action! The Junkman's Daughter is located here and always has very interesting items. Whether you are looking for a funky tapstry for your house or a Bob Marley t-shirt- this place has anything and everything you would need. There are lots of posters and bumper stickers. I haven't bought much here, but it is always a fun place to visit if you are in Little 5 Points! more

Check it out if you're around 8/21/2005

but stay at home if you're not. This place may be good for only 2 or 3 visits per year and maybe not. there is alot of old vintage wear that is avaliable that i'm not really into but i was dragged into going. They are alot of cloths that someone could use for a halloween night or 60's day at school but i would just stick with the cheap plastic outfits for those sort of events. I don't think that the Atlanta style really approves of such outfits but it will allow you to have a very unique experience. I had a little trouble finding the place but I wasn't a native. more

Junkman's Daughter is classic Little Five Points. It sells trinket and gadgets you can find nowhere else. They also carry a good selection of posters, and if you have money to spend, they have great costumes ranging from the weird to the scary. In the back, they also have a section where they sell pipe and hookah products, but you have to be 18 to go in there. All in all, one of the landmarks stores in Little Five Points. Be sure to go, you won't be disappointed. more

More than a store....it's an experience!! 8/15/2005

I used to love bringing visitors to Junkman's Daughter for the sheer uniqueness of the store and the people who shop there. Where else can your aunt relive her disco 70's days and your grandma can rethink your sanity! Junkman's has tons of fabulous and very unique things for you to decorate your dorm room or apartment. They also have a large variety of clothes to buy that are certainly unique as well. Also...great place to get Halloween costumes. more

Fun Experience 8/5/2005

I think this store is like going on a field trip back in middle school. The store is packed with fun stuff, weird stuff, scary stuff, ect. It was a lot of fun walking around and seeing everything they carried, there were a lot of wonderful gifts – especially gag gifts. The clothes did not appeal to me and the store felt a little clustered, but it was a fun experience since they had tons of unique stuff. more

Lots of hip clothing. There are also some junk pieces, corresponding to the name of the store. I mean you could get lots of stuff here, from your haloween costume to some antique cookbook or piece of, well um, thing thats due to please someone out there. in all, lots of stuff, decen prices... more

very cool eclectic shopping experience 7/27/2005

The Junkman's Daughter is a fascinating store! They have hip, alternative clothes and shoes...those items are generally on the pricey side but every so often you can find something on sale. They also have off the wall gift ideas, pretty much everything under the sun...from Nightmare Before Christmas dolls to candles to hair coloring products to used cds. Very fun store! more

Eclectic and Fun 6/30/2005

Junkman's Daughter is hip and funky shop located in Little 5 Points. There is something here for everyone, whether its hippy, goth, punk, you name it and they have it. They have killer vintage tees (hidden in the back) and sexy outfits with a punk twist. Plus, tons of home decor, novelty items that make great gifts, books, candles, purses, hair dye, etc. The place is just loaded with so many treasures. A trip to L5P is not complete unless you stop at the Junkman's Daughter. more
