I have eaten at capstone a number of times. While the food has been good the service has not always been the best. Went in for dinner saturday night and had the worst restaurant experience of my life. Mother-in-law ordered a salad with no lettuce (only field greens - due to allergies) we asked to speak with a manager because she found lettuce. When the manager lady came out she was visibly upset and began yelling at my mother-in-law. She picked up the lettuce off her plate and waived it in her face saying it WAS field greens and that the owner/executive chef had made it himself. We kept quiet and let her rant until she stormed back to the kitchen. After this the waitress was very nasty and belligerent to us and every time she came by she continued to push the issue that what was served was correct, her attitude was as if we caused a problem by mentioning the lettuce. My guess is that this is a family business and that certain family members feel that they can get away with treating people as they wish. If either of them had been a man I would have asked them to step outside. more

We've eaten lots of times at Capstone, the foods always good, service varies, but we like the food. The one day, my boyfriend's mom gets violently ill a few hours after eating at Capstone. She is a Nurse. She knows the signs of foodborne illness. She called to let the restaurant know what she ate so they could be aware. Instead of handling the problem, the owner asked her what she really wanted and told her she was not going to check out the food at all. She said their food was fine and hung up the phone. Went here on the recommendation of someone at work. At first look its a bit small and over crowded, and very difficult to get a parking space. Was hoping to get the crabcakes that i had heard so much about. Afterwaiting about 20 minutes (with our ""call ahead seating"") and then 10 minutes for a waiter, we finally ordered (over priced) drinks, which were also very weak. It took another several minutes to get water for the whole table. While waiting for our dinner to arrive, we witnessed the manager talking very rudely and inappropriately to an adjacent table. Our dinner finally arrived luke warm and the crabcakes that I had come here for, were average, at best. Very disappointing dining experience. Could have just gone to the Red Lobster in Washington, and next time I surely will. We won't be returning here.... Pros: food was ok Cons: parking, service, drinks, prices, atmosphere more

I attended a private party of over 40 people & you would have thought we were the only ones in the restaurant - they didn't miss a beat!! The food was amazing - the crab cakes are better than any I have ever had. The room the party was in was very inviting, it didn't feel like a ""banquet room"". The servers were extremely friendly and accomodating (I have a young child & they treated her like a princess!) My husband and I had a drink at the bar after the party and I was pleasantly surprised by the prices - they were really reasonable and the bartender was a great help with offering suggestions on some fun drinks. We were so impressed we booked my moms 75th birthday party that night with the manager. We were there 2 weeks ago and have already been back 3 times since! I overheard the employees talking about the owners opening another restaurant in the fall - it is nice to see an independent restaurant doing so well with all of the chains out there. If you haven't been to the Capstone Grill yet - you are missing out on a great place. more

This place use to be my favorite seafood restaurant. And it's sad to say, but I wouldn?t be dining there anymore. I have had a 5 star review posted here since 2007. I have dined there probably over 30 times since they opened. Over the years there has been a mistake or two but no big deal. Recently, my last few visits there have not been so good. I can see that the people in the other reviews are correct about the bad attitudes. The female manager very cold and rude. It seems as if owner(s) and management don't care about their customers. They wouldn?t even apology to you if you complain. They simply don't care. Pros: Excellent seafood, steak, and crabcakes more

this is a small place but its always packed. the food is great the seafood is fresh, the servive is great. but the best thing about it is there fried fish sandwich, its huge and awesome and priced perfect. Pros: BEST FISH SANDWICH EVER!!!!! Cons: parking on weekends and wait to be seated more
