Judickie's Bakery

After over 30 years as a customer, I have a major complaint regarding a purchase I made on March 5, 2017. In addition to the product in question, I spent close to $30 on other items. I purchased St. Patrick's Day cupcakes that were so hard, they were inedible. The tip of the cupcake was as hard as a cookie. I have two issues: first that such old items were still being sold and second that the server knew how hard the cupcakes were and still sold them to me. Very bad business! more

My family has been going to judickies for YEARS. I have never had this type of customer service in the past from them. I felt like I was doing something wrong by coming in and asking for donuts and coffee. The girl at the counter was very rude, no smiles, nothing. I ordered two small coffees light and sweet and a dozen donuts. After getting in my car and sipping the coffee, it was luke warm at BEST and the milk tasted sour. I went back in and told the girl that the coffee wasn't good and asked if she could make a fresh pot. She said very rudly that this pot was all the coffee she had. ???. When I asked her for my money back, she got angry, went to the register and slammed it closed. She handed me the money and turned her back to me! Let me say this. Small businesses in bayonne complain about the chain stores moving in on their business. If I want to be treated like crap, I will go to the chain stores and at LEAST get a better price. I won't be going back to judickies. more

My family and I moved out of Bayonne 11 yrs ago and have craved Judickies ever since. My daughter has gone as far as requesting the sprinkle cookies from relitives who still live up there. Everytime we visit we walk out of there like we are having a party for 12 when in fact theres only 4 of us. We love them and always will. more

This place used to be great now it has gone downhill...i ordered a cake for my parents anniversary party and it looked great but it tasted horrible. It tasted like the cake itself was 3 weeks old and previously frozen. No one at the party even touched the cake part of it they only ate the chocolate pudding in the center...i should have made the cake myself at least it would have been fresh. No thanks, not going there anymore. more

Used to be the best in town. Now I wouldn't recommend it, mostly because of the nasty way I was treated when I called and told them that they made me a cake for a shower and it was sour. They accused me of ruining the cake myself and then called me a thief and said they know what kind of a person I was and that I should never go in there again. They did return my money after calling me at my office 5 times and screamed at me. I always purchased everything from them and now I wouldn't go there. more

What a terrible experience I had trying to get my husband a birthday cake...really it shouldn't be as hard as this bakery made it. It's obvious that the bakery has changed hands as the customer service as well as the product quality has changed drastically. It took me calling 3 times to finally get someone to answer the phone and take my cake order which I had to repeat 3 times due to a very obvious language barrier and then when I went and picked up the cake it was NOT what I had ordered. I called to tell them that I received a cake that I did not order or want and instead of being treated as the customer is always right, I was yelled at by the rude manager and then hung up on. When I called back I was told that I could come and get my money back but that I would have to bring the cake back...imagine after 2 slices of the cake had been removed, they actually wanted the cake back. When I brought it back, the manager didn't even have the common courtesy to come out and talk to me about it, instead he sent out the baker who told me that in spite of me ordering an all chocolate cake with fudge filling and icing, she decided to put a layer of butter cream under the fudge icing because the fudge was too hot to put directly on the cake. I have been getting this same cake twice a year for several years and now all of a sudden it has to be made with butter cream...even after I distinctly told them I did not want any butter cream. The bottom line is that their customer service skills, along with their product quality have drastically got down since these new people took over and it's a real shame because Judickie's has always been a favorite bakery of mine as well as many people both in and outside of the community...I will no longer be buying anything from them...and after all was said and done, my husband had NO birthday cake on his birthday.... more

Judickie's is not your average bakery, they are an institution for Bayonne residents. Anyone who has lived here knows those famous Judickie's sprinkeled donuts. This place is legendary in my eyes and in the eyes of the city. Stop by and get some donuts and sprinkled cookies. The cakes are pretty good too! more
